x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Not so new... But useful Baltic Exchange Dry Index (BDI) The Baltic Dry Index is an index covering dry bulk shipping rates and managed by the Baltic Exchange in London. According to Baltic Exchange, the index provides an assessment of the price of moving the major raw materials by sea. Taking in 40 shipping routes measured on a timecharter and voyage basis, the index covers supramax, panamax and capesize dry bulk carriers carrying a range of commodities including coal, iron ore and grain. The index is made up of an average of the Baltic Supramax, Panamax and Capesize indices. These indices are based on professional assessments made by a panel of international shipbroking companies. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	jackpotbinz, correct me if I am wrong..Does Baltic Dry Index having a direct impact on YangZhi Jiang? I thought it should directly hit STXPO , NOL , COSCO which hit all time high now, not hard to understand why if you look at the chart below. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/cbuilder?ticker1=BDIY:IND    click, 3 years range,  it went up from 2,000 to 11,000 , that's like 500% increased in just one and a half year, a correction is needed.
