Its 1H07 result was eps 2.84c and NAV 35.76c.  However, about 40% of its H1 eps was derived from equity investments. With the current market sentiment, perhaps it ill not be able to repeat this in H2. Furthermore, Co. also commented that premiums for the next 12 mths may decline due to overcapacity of insurance and reinsurance globally. SpRe is a defensive stock with good yield but don't expect too much price movement from it.

What i like about SingRe is that it has consistent growing NTA and EPS Net Tangible Assets Per Share (cents) 27.30 27.89 29.35 32.94 33.14 Earnings Per Share (cents) 1.69 2.03 3.00 3.43 3.79 Gross Dividend (cents) 2.00 2.00 2.00 3.825 2.10   Plus it is available at a PE of slightly over 7.
