x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Found this in Business Times: possible cause of today's small cap fall   Singapore   July 31, 2007, 1.03 pm (Singapore time) S'pore manufacturers' outlook for H2 weaken SINGAPORE - Singapore manufacturers have turned less positive on business prospects for the second half of this year, reflecting a weaker outlook for the electronics and engineering industries, a survey showed on Tuesday. The survey showed a net weighted balance of 34 per cent of electronics manufacturers expected business to improve in the six-month period, compared to 38 per cent in the previous survey. Overall, a net weighted 22 per cent of manufacturers, who were polled in June and July, said they expect business conditions to improve in the July-December period, the Economic Development Board said in a statement, down from 26 per cent in the previous survey, which covered April to September. 'Whilst manufacturers on the whole expect demand to hold, there is some easing of sentiments moving into the second half of 2007,' the trade agency said in its quarterly survey of business expectations of the manufacturing sector. The survey showed a net weighted balance of 34 per cent of electronics manufacturers expected business to improve in the six-month period, compared to 38 per cent in the previous survey. Employment in the electronics sector is expected to tighten, with a net weighted balance of 13 per cent of electronics manufacturers expecting to hire in the third quarter, down from 24 per cent in the previous three months. The EDB survey received responses from 96 per cent of the 397 manufacturers contacted. According to the Government's preliminary estimate, Singapore's trade-dependent economy grew at an annualised 12.8 per cent in the second quarter, its fastest clip in two years, driven by a manufacturing upswing and a construction boom. -- REUTERS

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	i tink besides BB selling, brokerage is also forced selling for clients who cannot pay up. that shows the great impact alot of ppl is trading blank with no capital to hold their shares!!!! stock trading always make sure got capital to hold else lose big if play until very big in the beginning.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I think, many have eaten too much and become overweight, so it's time for them to go gym and do some serious exercises to trim back to the normal healthy shape...that's about all, whether they will start to anyhow eat again after being trimmed down is another matter. Guess most of those that got hit are the speculative counters. Good Luck to all
