Hi ChinChye, I don't really use volatility breakouts in my trading but let me try to recall what its about... I think the basic idea is to monitor the market and catch it when a breakout occurs (large, sudden price/volume increases). This is based on the assumption that when a breakout occurs, the price trend of the stock will keep moving in the same direction until its energy runs out. |

Hi Singaporegal, I have been following ur post regularly and have bought a book on Larry William (Long Term secret to short term trading) to study more.. However, chapter 4 (volatility breakout-- The momentum breakthrough) is very very confusing.. i couldnt understand the whole chapter even though i have read many times.. haha..... pardon for my stuipdity... Really hope you can enlighten me.. THks in advance... Rdgs, Anything. |
