Hi Victorian, Thanks for your insightful analysis. Yes, I was also vested in Sp Ship.....accumulated @ < 20cts. One correction with your post....you said from '31(30?) Jun 2006 to 31 Aug 2006 price move from 42cts to 68 cts'. Think it hit 58cts (not 68cts) cos of 12 cts divident declared for FY06. By then, due to massive asset sale, Sp Ship was left with only 2 +30% share of a third vessel. I liquidated my total holdings just before news of the capsizing of their 30% owned vessel at 57.5cts and made quite a bundle.....more if you consider the dividents and divident in specie received during the course of holding the stock. Yes, it was a very profitable investment for me...and it is testimony to the meriits of holding a good valued stock despite market fluctuations. Another counter I have been accumulating is another of Mr Ow's stable...Stamford Land...pse see thread. Appreciate your comments on this counter. |
