Yes $3K. If the merger is finalised, the price shd not correct after ex-dividend (i.e. drop to 35 cents, assuming it is bought at 50cents which happens to most stocks after ex-dividend). Historical low for a few days in April 2006 was 39 cents. Good riddance to the contra players who bought yesterday, hoping to ramp up the price - they have been burnt today!!! Value investors may wish to buy on weakness for its yearly dividend payout.. |

Just checked with SGX website. $150 per 1000 shares is net of tax. Ex-dividend on 3 Nov, payable on 13 Nov 2006. NeraASA and EltekASA will confirm merger at the end of October 2006 - prospects for new entity shd be good. If merger finalised one Eltek share equals 5.75 Neratel shares. |

Sorry for the typo error. Neratel's dividend for the past few years (sorry, NOT days) was $30 (before tax) per 1000 shares. |

Neratel business: telecommunications and information technology (IT). This high dividend payout is one time-off and is due to it divesting its 68% share of NeraElectric (contract manufacturing). Its dividend for the past few days (before tax) was $30 per 1000 shares. According to a recent broking house analysis, a hold on the stock was recommended as an attractive dividend might be declared. Didn't expect it to be declared this year. Those who are "privy to privileged information" - god knows how they are able to get it could have been buying them for the past few days. Sorry leeloke you are not one of them! Singaporeregal may be right that Neratel is on a strong uptrend - the "manipulators" (my apologies to forum participants who may be "manipulators") have been bottom fishing for the past three years. Can they afford to hold them forever without trying to cash out? |

I think Neratel is on a strong uptrend now. However, its relatively poor volumes are a potential issue. |

Neratel's dividend is $150 (before tax?) per 1000 shares. No wonder, it was moving with significant volume recently. Someone must have "sniffed" at the prospect of a high dividend (because of its sale of all its NeraElectric shares). Very few shares being sold because of its attractive dividend yield. Furthermore, its peak price was more than $4 per share. It paid a good dividend earlier this year. |
