Straits Asia Resources ( April 4 : 1.07)

Maintain Trading Buy. Straits Asia?s share price performed well in 1Q2007, gaining 57.6% and outperforming the STI by 49.1%. COAL stocks have been good performers across region, but we BELIEVE that Strait Asia?s performance can also be attributed to its active investor relation programmes, with management promoting the company to investors in Asia and Europe this year. We are raising our FY2007EPS estimate by a relatively modest 3% since pricing on almost 75% of its production has been fixed. However , our 2008EPS forecast has been increased by 15%, and we introduce our FY2009 EPS estimate of 7.9 US cents. Our DCF valuation increases to $1.37from $1.30, following our upgrade.
