actually i think the SGX bull run may not be over. profiting taking happened in the past couple of days but the indicators does not yet clearly show a change in trend. |

So, 3Q/2006 results is out with 15cts base divdn, much lower than last yr.. but SGX recommeded 80% of net profit would be distributed to share holder in the 4Q/2006. btw, how much is 80% payout? will SGX contd to move upwards? wait for tomorrow. |

Looks like the share price is over-hyped (my own view). From $0.80 to $4+, that's abt 5 times increase in just 3 yrs, too fast a growth. Dividend of 1.5 cents, that's lower than the historical rates. |

Ya I also think there's more to it than just Nasdaq. Maybe a higher dividend payout this yr? But then now its price has fallen. |

Business Times: When ask to explain why px increase. SGX jus say oni interested by Nasdag, it mentioned they R looking for oppunities to do more verture business with them oni. What a lousy execuse. |

SGX stock px, oni way is up. Now $4.50cts. Posted on 2Mar06.This year is v v good business year for SGX, to ppl who can hold, v v happy Q-ing up to d bank, next year not so sure liao. |

SGX usually issue dividentin Mid April, like 2003, they gave 1-time sp div of $340.. do you how much they will give after 3 years (2006), $1000, impossible... base on last 2 yrs dividents, the returns is not attractive. 2005: $260 / $2800 = 9% 2004: $135 / $2000 = 6% 2003: $375(incl sp$340) /$1600 = 23% Say 2006 divident be: $1000 $1000 / $4500 (share price) = 22% DO YOU THINK $1000 divd possible ? |

Read today that investor Warren Buffet has offered a product that protects investors against any drop in major stock market indices. Guess this shows that he's confident that equity markets will raise, which means SGX will do well, as there will be more investors trading to make money. Not sure if related to rise in SGX price. If not, then just to share with u ppl. |
