what a day..... meltdown from the start of the bell. Price floor will reach sooner than expected but the carnage is hard that it will take some serious time for the pieces to be picked up. |

jng1103: u mean if i got monies pay back earlier than the 2 years they penalize me? tat means at the start when you take the loan, the bank wanna lock on to the interest you gotta pay them izit? very shrewd bank tactics leh. like u i only tok shiok only lah. i start play stocks has NEBER borrow monies from those banks before and i intend to keep that way be it in bear or bull times. but tink back if no1 borrow monies from banks then bank no monies earn overall market economy cannot move? hmmm... i leave tat for others to make the economy moves. in the meantime i am contented in my small fishing hobby :) |

jng1103, Please play with only spare cash in hand. Never borrow to invest in stock market. Yes, I know the prices are very attractive now. No one knows when the price will move up, but the interest is sure generating. |

hi farmer, i'm not a pro... but IMHO, i think those 'licenced ah long companies' are good bargain counters now, esp 'Underpaid Overwork Bank' and 'Old Chinese Big Corporation' sianz... every morning receive emails from brokers telling BUY BUY BUY... as if GSS at SGX. no bullets, how to buy? just sit aside and enjoy the show lor... sianz |

Hi Soh, cashline interest rate quite high. I'm talking about stanchart loan 6.5% (seen as advertisement). however, there's a catch there... min tenure is 2yrs and if u clear the balance within 2yrs, u need to pay 5% penalty. so how? worth boh? anyway, i just talk nia... no 'balls' to buy now |

Farmer: it is not say the stock is good or bad. some stocks are chased up by ppl who margin lend or contra. therefore when margin lend cannot top up their shares get force sold and price drop. extrapolate to the total number of ppl who margin and contra and I tink some shrewd BBs use this opportunity to press down the price to collect from these weak players. such a pity i cannot compete with BB on financial so I ride along with them on their buy bid prices and when some huge quantiy lots sell down I ride along and get transacted. i muz thank BB in times of bear and bull though. i know i am a gepichong but i small fry cannot dictate the pricing so stick to BB and play lor but i play small small lots so they dun mind i tag along i guess. i imagine myself as those scavenger fishes when the shark has finish the main dish i pick on the leftovers or while they are biting the huge chunk of meat i nibble beside them :) |

Did any one mentioned so good ? The word here is tempted I buy into counters base on my basic instinct and guessing.....besides, one man's food might be another man's poison.....so i guess those tempting counters i am eyeing might not be of any value for investment to you, let alone speculation , perhaps other gurus here with strong FA or TA knowledge might be able to tell you which counters are so good. Cheers |

Only a handful of counters i am holding are in black cos i bought them at the low in April or May this year...but, other than that, the whole basket is full of 'Ang Ku Kueh' which i decide to hold long, 3 months at most i guess, for this major correction (more than 10% or even 15%) before they start to crawl slowly back to profit level. Though i still can afford to load up a few more counters, i rather stay put now and keep the money in case of rights issued at low low prices, my 2 cents worth of advice....please don't borrow money to invest any furhter but just hold onto your counters (or cut losss at worst) even if they are now 'Ang Ku Kueh'...borrowing excess monies to invest is no difference from gambling exceeding your means and limits....and that could lead to compulsive gambling behaviour. Good Luck All |

jng1103: you got dbs cashline? ocbc easicredit? uob cashplus? all these lend you monies at an interest rate but so far I had neber used them before. i dun like the idea the interest is charged on me the moment I debit the balance. i prefer them to work like credit card concept like today I borrow your monies, interest is ONLY charged at the end of the month. if those credit balance work like credit card I will definitely borrow monies from them :O |

Some stocks are dropping close to May 2006 pricing which present quite a good entry point if you are those who like to buy on discount and strong fundamentals. The only downside is not enuff monies to buy in those stocks you have been eyeing for so long!!!! Quite tempted to borrow monies to buy in but then I am neber in the mindset to borrow monies to buy stocks so I should control my emotions :( Of cuz it can slide even lower than May 2006 pricing but that is wat stock trading is about isn't it? At least you know there are ppl who buy above your entry price. It provides little comfort but if you are in for the long run, it should yield good capital gains and dividends the next year. |

I wish I can say the same but to me the stock that I hold have its prices at 62% - 72% of the fibo retracement I bought in last year. So its not low to me yet. :) |
