Thanks, Teeth53 ....Need to keep track on Dow as it's STI's big bro. Vista will be available for homeowners by Jan '07 (Office users this month). So I believe all PC makers are busy producing PCs now for its launch. That's why I expect Y2007 to be a tech turn-around year. As for IPOs, like Singaporegal, I don't do them though recent IPOs soared on opening day. Guess it's less challenging and lazy to go ATM press press. HeeHee! We are all ikan bilis riding on the waves the sharks (big boys) make to chiong the price up for us. This is what SJ is all about - a school of ikan bilis trying to make money together and avoiding being eaten up by the sharks! |

Well, same to U. Billywows, mkt guru.... Ur hard work putting up Dow infomation is well know here and much informed as alot of forumers here click to watch what U have to say about market in regard to sgx. Those two Big boys Intel and AMD seen head on together along with Vista O/S, look like it's Intel always the winner, but Vista seem not coming on strongly and has been in the news for sometimes liao. IPO has been always my flavour choice since my NS times co's my fren, those remisers, dealers, those remiser fren (big boys/investers) big ipo fan club. I am just a small ikan bilis swimming (tompang) along with those doing ipo business ppl. Pai sei!!! i m sort of promoting / sharing ipo mkt info to forumers herein sharejunction (hope it help to bring more interest to those inte....). Sometime also their grey mkt px to share, share with fellow forumers here, Overtime, 9 out 10 post IPO stocks in good time can win some or alot of kopi monies and at least 2-3 (post) ipo stocks is very good to keep over mid/long term. In very, very bad time also 9 out 10 can still be good for a stag, some 6 out 10 can still traded above water. 3 maybe below water and one maybe out of the wood, (written off down to almost zero value). |

it is just a article... i read. but i will take note of what it said. but still be cautious. Thou i last cleared by position expecting a Correction, which didnt happen, as early as i expected, i only loaded 50% of what i usually do and mainly on more conservative counters. Nevertheless, it bound to have a few mild corrections while on its way to bull May' 07(hopefully) |

Heehee! You are the IPO tout king here, Teeth53 .... My opinion is global market will do the expected REAL corrections after Q1 reporting season (month of May again?). What goes up must surely come down. For those holding on the stocks at their 52-week high now had better be more alert and not be too greedy (property, telecoms & bank). But, tech stocks should be less affected when it happens as they have not been performing well this year due to poor PC demand and high inventory. And also because I expect Y2007 to be a tech rally year due to Vista. (*Property, telecoms & bank counters have their chiong liao this year!) Trade with care ... hor! |

Hi, Billywow, Jas. Both of U is correct to get abit worry now, me too, sign of bubbling, hav't burst yet, not now and not this year 06. just a little worry when Reit big boys will pull out it billion of dollars. A matter of when also goes to Dow as s'pore economic is post for a slow down next year, just following US, niche china play with strong fundamental, basic business story line will be the one that win, so is ipo play. |

i'm a little worried that those private equity funds are buying up companies here & there. not sure if the next bubble burst will be caused by them. it's kind of crazy that they have that kind of money like $100 billion to buy companies in one single year. |

No one will ever know how high Dow or STI will go. And when real-big corrections will happen. World economies are strong this year, which is why market indexes are chionging now. The lower oil and Fed pauses also help out ... Some expect a US recession next year due to slower housing, which could cause world indexes to dive HUGE. If this happens, our local property scene will be affected too! My personal opinion is market will chiong some more till Q1 Y2007 ..... and guess a Fed rate cute on 12th December to push the market further. Risky to buy into market now cos this should have been done during the May-July corrections. If you come on now, the gain won't be fantastic at all. But it will still be fun and risky. Btw, Singapore government expects a slower growth next year! Trade with care! |
