Small caps have closer correlation with interest rates than economic growth. Whereas blue chips have closer correlation with economic growth than interest rates. Peaking of interest rates could increase investors' risk appetite and drive up small- & mid-caps in late '06 and maybe '07. |

every dog has its day, so are the penny stocks. PDC, Einets, Goldtron, Heshe,Ipco, Adv Sys,Hiap Hoe, Sunbusiness, Autron.....The chances are 1 out of 10 will be played at a time! Heshe now, so which is next??? |

Honestly, I am a lousy chartist, Teeth53 .... So your technical comments below blur me a bit. Haahaa! I trade on market overview and sentiments, calendar of events, timing and instincts on a long term basis. Btw, the topic here is penny stocks la. :p |

Ur chart again it said 20 cents tested now px gone even higher, so i must assume about sometime soon someone will have to wait for a year like Jan04 to Jan05 before seeing again some light as the chart move toward Jan06, it has 6-8 months interval window period (shortering period) to move up, this time round it tink tink when px slide down it will about 6 mths interval window period b4 seeing some px upward movement. If i m wrong, pls correct me. |

My opinion is above 0.50 cents value stocks can swim better than those below that value. This is cos most institutions avoid penny stocks and we really and badly need these big players to move stocks. So better to avoid penny stocks - unless one is a sharp and early spotter. The profit may be tempting when penny stock move a cent or two though. If you are referring to Heshe counter these few days after the Citiraya's white knight news, its been trading below 0.20 cents for the last 5 years (see below chart) - till it closed 0.195cents today. Can anybody enlighten me what are the signs of Singapore stock market next few weeks when penny stocks are now the flavour of retail investors and big players. Does it mean blue chip stocks are now over-valued and not much room to move? After all, 1 lot of blue chip stck can probably buy 30-50 lots of a penny stock? |
