It is called netoff.
For example u bought share A and u have T+5 to pickup and u wanted to contra but the price went south. By T+3, u can sell share B inform your broker to do a netoff. |

There is no reason why you cannot do it.
For example you own 1000 shares of A Company and you would like to sell off and buy B Company, as a form of transferring from A to B.
All you got to do is queue to sell A and if it is executed, you use the same funds to buy B company immediately or higher or lower. If the prices of the two companies are roughly the same, you don't have to pay first because the proceeds from the sale will come in earlier than or at the same time as the purchase you need to pay. In most cases, sale proceed comes into your bank T+4, while the pick up can be at T+5 on a day or two later. Just do some arithmetic first and see if you need to pay addition money or have extra money coming from the exchange.
Thus, exchanging or your so called "transfer" from one counter to another is possible.
