Oei Hong Leong, who failed to take control of Natsteel in a bitter 2002 takeover battle, has a a stake of 30%. He stands to gain about $32.5m in dividends. Hotel tycoon Ong Beng Seng's investment vehicle 98 Holdings, has a 51% stake and stands to rake in about $55m. Natsteel made $83m in Q2 ending Jun 30, mainly due to $41.1m gain from selling its shares of Banyan Tree when it was listed. |

Natsteel collect alot of $$$, more then S$41 mil from BayanTree, so Bayantree share px is a little down, together with the rest of the stocks as mkt is down on news of Thai coup. |

Hi Everyone, Please chk my calaculation is correct or wrong ? Now this counter has plenty of cash reserved, that is why Stock King Oei is always interested. At the current declare of $0.29 dividend (tax exempt), the trading price at $1.55, take yesterday closed or everyday stable price of $1.37+ $0.29 = $1.66. If u minus the $0.03 brokage fees, that is $1.63, thus at $1.55, there should be around $0.08 profit to gain. I wondered why no one buy up the stock ! Can anyone explained? Thks ! |

The Board of Directors of NATSTEEL LTD ("Company") recommends that an interim special dividend of S$0.29 per ordinary share (tax exempt - one tier) be declared for the current financial year, taking into account the group's medium term operational cash flow requirements. This distribution fully utilizes the Company's distributable reserves as at 31 August 2006. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, the Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company will be closed from 5.00 p.m. 9 October 2006 to 5.00 p.m. 16 October 2006 for the preparation of dividend warrants. Duly completed transfers received by the Company's share registrar, M & C Services Private Limited at 138 Robinson Road #17-00 The Corporate Office, Singapore 068906, up to the close of business at 5.00 p.m. on 9 October 2006 will be registered to determine shareholders' entitlement to the Interim Special Dividend. In respect of the ordinary shares of the Company held in securities accounts with The Central Depository (Pte) Limited ("CDP"), the Interim Special Dividend will be paid by the Company to CDP which will in turn distribute the dividend entitlements to shareholders. The payment of the Interim Special Dividend will be on or about 23 October 2006 or such other date to be determined by the Directors. BY ORDER OF THE BOARD |
