Raffles Education is taking a major stake in Easycall that will be just below the mandatory takeover trigger point. In a subscription deal Raffles Edu said it would buy up to 64.51m new shares at $0.20 each, representing about 25% of the EasyCall's paid-up capital. Boustead also said it had sold 23.5m shares, or a stake of 9.11%, in Easycall to Raffles Education for $0.40 cents a share. Based on Easycall's enlarged capital of 322m shares, Raffles would end up with a stake of about 27%. |

It soared as high as 50% to an all-time record of $0.965 on investors' hopes that Raffles Education is poised for a takeover of Easycall. Easycall saw a married deal of 2.4 million shares at $0.83, which occured at 10.14 a.m, according to Reuters data. "Raffles Education might have crossed the 30% mark needed to launch a takeover, though they have not declared it yet," said one dealer from Kim Eng Securities. |

Boustead has sold 23.5m shares in EasyCall to Raffles Education at $0.40 a share. The Sale Shares represent approximately 9.11% of the issued and paid up share capital of EasyCall. Following the Sale, the Company holds approximately 0.03%.
In addition, the CEO is in the process of finalising a conditional sale to Raffles Edu of 35m EasyCall shares at $0.40 per share. |

Jumped on news that Raffles Education would subscribe for 38.7m new shares at $0.20 with an option to increase its stake of 25.8m new shares at the same price. Investors were apparently excited with the prospect of the entrant of this new strategic investor. | ||||||||

forgive my ignorance but i read the announcement. RE is buying at $0.20 If we buy at $0.50 as of now, dont we lose out? Pls enlighten a newbie like me. |
