hey, grandma! *hugs* keke. no prob....was actually hesitating to post; 'cos i know this current market, esp yesterday, is a bull one, so people never like to hear 'bad news' when things appear fine and dandy. but yea...it's the same story all over again. yeps, can lock out speculatives if you are holding onto any. alt is to wait for year end mega rally. esp if you're holding onto pennies: when they make their rally, run as fast as you can, because they'll likely go to sleep for the next 3-5 years. good luck! :) ok, no need to watch market liao. story known already. elfie going shopping. keke. |

day 2 of bull trap. market sideways for today; expect later today/wed BB momentum traders to start depression. bleed out contras on thurs, fri, mon. classic T+3,4,5 trap. nb: they'd have bought in last week, or early yesterday. was seeing busd data for key counters, a lot of large buy ups then. lock a few cents profit and throw to depress px to catch retail contras. take care, people. |

careful of the market today. abnormally high volume. too many counters up on feel-good factor. contra-ists and syndicates out in full force. keep light, keep nimble. all the makings of a bull trap. |

Another possibility is to open a deposit account with them and place an amount into this account. Your trading limit can then be increased to a certain multiplication of the value in your deposit account. |

Opening an account will partially solve the problem. Because if you want to buy big big on one counter you are still not able to do so... you have to spilt up your trade with 2 brokers and pay double commission fees. |

Hi AhSeng, I think it depends on your broker. If you are a new customer and he does not know you very well, then probably he has to be more careful when increasing your trading limit. On way is for you to open another trading account with another firm :) |

Anybody out there can enlighten me how to request for increase in trading limit. I have an account with phillip securities (poems). Many a time my request was rejected. So how? Thanks you. |

RT, hosei bo? Maybe your company tracking you because of the recent IHG fiasco ma, where their top hotelier was found to have faked his credentials. They want to rise you to the top, but also fear you con them. So ai zai la, after you at the top, you can change policy again ma. |

With so many 'sure-win' stock market courses on the market as can be seen frequenty in the newspapers, I wonder what their paying students have to say about them. Do all the students make a lot of money in the stock market after attending, in view of the continuing advertisements which seem to be increasing?. |

By Elena Chong, Court Correspondent Jun 13, 2007 The Straits Times A LEGAL spat has arisen between 17 people who attended a home-grown company's options-trading seminars and the company itself. Freely, founded by entrepreneur Clemen Chiang, 32, filed a writ of summons against the 17 last month, alleging that they conspired to disparage, disrupt and destroy the company's business operations. The company is seeking costs and damages from each of the defendants. Last week, the 17 filed their defence and counter-claims against Freely for misrepresentation and breach of contract. Alternatively, they allege that Freely violated the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act. The defendants say they were promised that they would be taught how to design their own financial plans and use professional tools on their desktop computers. They were also promised that they would learn how to carry out extensive research without spending exhaustive time. But contrary to what Freely promised, the defendants say they were not taught these matters and they did not analyse real trade cases. No profit-building strategies were discussed, and their class size exceeded what was promised. Mr Sanjiv Rajan is representing three of the defendants who are claiming a refund of $8,995 each. The others, represented by Mr Rey Foo, are also seeking refunds. In its statement of claim, Freely claims that the first three defendants made defamatory statements in March to all the students of its coaching programme via e-mail. The statements alleged that Freely's coaching programme was not of satisfactory 'quality and value'', 'did not deliver what was stated'', and 'over-promised and under-delivered'' the benefits and results of the coaching programme. Freely claims that these statements were false and that they damaged the company's reputation as well as caused it to suffer financial losses. The other defendants are accused of conspiracy. In March, 38 students, including the defendants, went to the Small Claims Tribunal to seek redress from the company. Freely alleges that the defendants gathered together these people in order to disrupt its business operations and disparage its reputation. http://forum.channelnewsasia.com/viewtopic.php?p=969211&sid=f546fe8d2a5be0344a7c40fd2ff08b6e |

iPunter, thanks :) Rogue_trader: ha, now you are watched (in your company)? that's why can't post as frequently? Maybe they predict one day you'll become big shot after passing your exams, that's why they are watching closely. Geojam: ya holding on quite well. Hit jackpot with cosco (although you know by now that I'm a small time player). Small time with all the counters I hold. ed88ks: yeah, I'd like the map too, except that they alloted singapore with too big an area. Not proportional. |
