Don't fall in love with stock, unless is your own company. I play for short term rebound at the moment, the rebound will be short term,  because the recovery is still long. Those major index is just waiting to XXXX, but when?? Many months ago people keep shouting short till they get shock, but stock still going up.. The best strategy if u still playing is using the right ratio money management for this. Nothing is certain, but the amount u control to lose will be under control. Eg, If I had 100k to play at any time, I will only use max 30k  to roll it up. If any shiit happen and I get caught, I still had 70k at my back to bail me out when time come. *U can play  30+ trade every month, but just 1 holy cow trade will either break or make u. If u don't wish to get rape hard, money  management is one of the key to save your backside  :) |

You said these probability because you are holding it and don't want to cut your losses. So you looking for some justification to why you should continue holding it.
The fact is its fundamental and technical are weak and we don't know when it's going to recover. It could take a year or 10 years, we don't know. But until it does, most investors are not going to invest. Our capital is limited, we don't want our capital to be tied up by a non-performing stock. It is better to let it go and focus on other good fundamental stocks. Don't fall in love with a stock, especially the bad ones. If you want to love a stock, at least love a good one.

Bro, I think its good that you contributed so much for us to make better decision. Not everybody has this deep insignt of the analysis. I encourage you to stay on and let's share any news/opinion, even found or unfound is ok. Investment is not only so much about information but sharp sense also important.
Ignore those disturbing noises. These can be found anyway, any forum or along the street. We're here to huat, not to get angry. Everybody here are mature people with good common sense, we can tell who is sincere and who just posting unnecessary comment. Judgement rest with individual reader.
Once again, appreciate you did so much for us and thank you for your contribution.

I am not the one who started it btw. And if all the information to you is long-winded, I shall stop contributing and leave this forum. Days of investing were still better when I was not in any forum. But I still appreciate those posts by people like krisluke and shareflux (dunno where is he now) Thanks and take care guys!! Cheers..

I can understand why some people say Vard has lousy fundamentals now, which I partly agree due to the poor earnings as a result of expansion in Brazil. But is very unfair to judge a company and condemn it just because of certain teething issues which results in poorer margins. These issues are a learning experience and can be resolved in the long run. One of the reasons why Niteroi yard faces overload conditions is because the yard is not big enough to accomodate the smoother construction of bigger ships. But the fact is that they do manage to deliver these bigger ships in the end, which is a breakthrough. The new yard Promar built is now bigger and able to better accomodate the construction of larger hulls. On top of that, they constantly look at new ways to build better ships with better technology. If i am not wrong, the LPG vessels they going to build soon would also be their pioneer attempt. I expect Niteroi yard issue to still affect their overall margins for this year slightly. Even next year, I expect start up operations would maybe have some effect on the overall margin due to their training costs as they increase their workforce to around 2500 (if i am not wrong) for the new yard Promar. All these to me is just short term pain for long term gain. From 2009 to 2012, ebitda margins was from ~5% to ~11% to ~19% to ~13%. I expect this year ebitda margin won't be fantastic, but next year should start to pick up.. | ||||
