After consolidation, you will own 1500/30=50 lots. If trade at 0.57 tmr, not good news. 50X1000X0.57=28,500 < 1500X1000X0.027=40,500 |

United Fiber System on Tuesday posted a net profit of US$15.6 million for its first quarter ended March 31, 2013, on the back of a US$16.9 million gain on the deconsolidation of its unit, Poh Lian Construction (PLC). A year ago, it suffered a net loss of US$3.7 million. In April this year, the High Court had granted PLC's application to place itself under judicial management, after the construction firm suffered siginficant losses in FY12 and became fraught with operational difficulties due to challenging conditions in the local construction industry. UniFiber said it has since derecognised PLC's assets and liabilities. It only recognised PLC's operating results up to March 6, 2013 in the groups' consolidated income statement for the quarter.
