Asian stocks: all prices are now " lockock lockock" (rock rock bottom) just because of fear of China economic slowing down. Wall streets tended to be on its own Friday, and though banks and financials are sold down, many other sectors are not and some have even their stocks climbing. You got money, you sure to make if you buy and keep for a little. Lol. |

It is not so much whether ppl eat veggie,bread or rice.Here the concern is abt companies that had borrowed excessively during low interest rate regime to expand rapidly.The chinese authority is determined to cool the economy and end speculations.You can see that their bank interest rate has been rising and their stock market including Hong Kong are doing the opposite.

The steep sell-off in banking stocks led the index to hit its lowest levels since December. Minsheng Bank lost 8 percent, Industrial Bank was lower by 6.7 percent and Pudong Development Bank fell over 4 percent. " Some are suggesting that the current state of affairs in China is very similar to that seen in the U.S. pre-global financial crisis. DBS (Don't Bull Shit) While STI fell below 3100 briefly last Friday, we believe further volatility should only result in a decline that is moderately below 3100 (13.1x or -0.5SD12-mth forward PE) and comfortably above 2915 (12.3x or -1SD 12-mth forward PE). The root cause behind the current correction comes from the rise in bond yields due to QE3 withdrawal if the US economic sustains recovery. S-REITs and high gearing sectors (e.g. property) are likely to underperform the market given the upward pressure on the risk-free rate. During this transitional period when focus shifts away from yield to growth but broad based growth is still lacking, we are selective in our growth/recovery picks. One group is the O& M stocks within the SMC space given their low single digit forward PE valuation and double digit growth rate in the low to mid teens. In the week, STI has established a lower high at 3239 and today close positive with a bullish reversal candlestick at 3059 support with high volume. From the indicators, RSI and Stochastic are pointing downwards signaling we may see more retracement in the following week. MACD histogram 4g2r is also a indication for more selling pressure to continue. Next week will be a great week for trading as a breakdown of 3059 support will confirm the downtrending direction of this market while a break of 3239 resistance could signify the indices will be heading upwards to establish a higher high. This break of resistance would also be a bullish double bottom breakout for the index. |
