You are right....trust yourself. What I try to say, love to see how people analyze the current trend: FA or TA. Once you have taken position and other discipline has same opinion. Your position will be stronger, as more crowds will join too.

Whoever (FA, TA, Lunar, elephant, bomoh, voodoo, whatever) can contribute in this forum and have same opinion, that make our position is even stronger. Agree or not agree? --- What makes you so sure that the contributor(s) out there is a sincere one and takes good care of your trading? dont forget that you didnt pay him/her for the service... even you cant trust your own broker who earns your commission....who can you trust then?
Listening & buy according to what ppl saying here = listening to those uncles sitting at the coffeeshop shouting to buy Genting during the peak time. Now all lost $$$ or became long term investor.
Forum is just a 'high tech coffeeshop'.

Lunar phases? I dont know all these...so profound... Why do need to check this forum and see if others have the same opinion as you? Even if you can find 5 persons trading in the same direction as you...it's only 5 persons out there in this forum. Wont have any effect on the shares price. Unless you are saying these 5 persons are all institution players then follow them sure make sense. Otherwise, it just kopi talk only, just for laugh, just for fun, just for leisure. Dont follow anyone here....trust yourself. If you cant trust your own trading and need someone to confirm, then why put your hard earned $$$ to risk? They have no obligation on whether you win or lose.

Agree that charts are historical by fact too. Although I am biased to Chart but not trying to convince you for any reason. Anyway, have you ever heard people trading based on lunar cycle? Check below link and they have a lot follower too. http://stock-chartist.com/2009/11/lunar-phases-and-stock-market/ The most ridiculous that I have ever heard, trading is based on elephant movement. Why I said ridiculous? Because I don't believe it. Anyway, at the bottom line. Whatever methods that make your wallet thicker, I will follow them. Whoever (FA, TA, Lunar, elephant, bomoh, voodoo, whatever) can contribute in this forum and have same opinion, that make our position is even stronger. Agree or not agree?

The best is if market sell, we sell. They buy, we buy...then can earn $$$. If we try to paint a nice hope picture in front of us will blind us and may finally certify ourselves as long term investor. Keep it simple....RESPECT THE MARKET.

Charts are plotted based on historical, I agree. If you dont rely on chart to trade then what do you rely on? Even if u choose not to trade with chart but all other people including the big players are doing it...and if they start to sell based on chart, what can you do? Wait and see your shares drop and get panic? And keep self psycho that price wont drop to this / that level? Just my point of view - TA & FA compliment each other but TA is betting on current and FA is betting on future. At this level of STI, is better not to talk about FA. Once the big player turns the table, many will shit on their pants.

Heee...maybe you have not seen one. So far, I've seen one in my own eyes. Anyway, general market is bad and will pull down most counters. Trading with TA is trading with what the current market is doing and we simply follow the flow. News trading is betting on future. If positive news, shares will move....if not, shares moves down. By the time we wait for the real news to come, maybe shares already sold off cos drop to much to handle. If those insist not to cut loss early, ends up become long term investor. Ausgroup is one gd example....so many waited for the news and ended up only party for a while then back to square one or maybe lower in the next days. What's the point? Anyway, let's see if Midas can drop below $0.40 soon.
