Mirach Energy Limited said on Monday that it has signed an agreement with Indonesia ‘s state-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina, to jointly operate the Kampung Minyak Field in South Sumatra . I am initiating a new position in China Petrotech. I think there's only one analyst covering the stock. He sites as positives: rights to 42% interest in Kamundan Energy which has potential to add .17-.22 to NAV, in addition to .80-90 from its Cambodia offshore concession. So it's trading at .5X NAV which is a pretty nice discount. Even on an earnings basis at 10X estimated PER, it's fairly cheap. As an S-share, it looks like a good time to invest since these are all hot right now. Technically I would say that it is still in a negative consolidation that has lasted on and off since April 06 but I would note that it's quite close to reversing that state into POSITIVE momentum. Should this happen I think a very big rerating is possible. The upside outweighs the downside vastly in my opinion and I would recommend buying ahead of the technical rally. My medium term target is a break out to .85. I think resistance at .70 should be easily overcome. | ||||

KIm Eng targets $0.66!!!!!!!!!CHEONG AH!!!!!!!!!!! Raising Target to S$0.66, maintain Buy In addition to the US$420,000 capitalisation, first-year project development costs are estimated to be US$2.4m of which CP?s stake is 42%. Discounting the 20-year output based on the production sharing agreement, recoverable reserves and extraction costs, we estimate that this contract can add another 17-20 cts per share. This is in addition to our earlier estimate of a 80-90 cts per share that it can derive from its Cambodia offshore concession. However, we are still not factoring in this sum revaluation potential of around $1.00 per share into our target price. But given this strong upside potential, we are raising our target on CP to S$0.66 per share, from S$0.60 previously. This is based on a PER of 14x that is in line with other Singapore-listed China peers, and akin to valuations of global oil companies. We maintain our Buy recommendation. |

It is in active, ongoing negotiations for oil and gas contracts in Indonesia and China. The big surge yesterday is very positive. Resistance around $0.51-$0.515. If this is broken, it may go up to around $0.55. |
