Wait....must see the prospectus first... Sheng Siong, which is Singapore's second-largest grocery chain by revenue, lodged its preliminary prospectus this week. The chain runs 23 stores in Singapore, and is well-known for its weekly television gameshow. Sheng Siong's net profit for the fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2010, stood at $42.6 million, rose 30 per cent over the year from $33.6 million against a stronger gross profit margin, its prospectus showed.
