China Animal Healthcare, the animal drugs manufacturer, reported a 189.2% increase in net profit ( nearly doubles 3Q net profit to $10.4m ) attributable to owners of the company to RMB53.2 million ($10.4 million) for the three months ended 30 September 2011 (3Q2011). Revenue increased 29.8% to RMB208.9 million, mainly due to the surge in sales of biological drugs, continuing strong performance in the powered form drugs segment and lower administrative expenses. In 3Q2010, several one-off expenses amounting to RMB14.4 million were incurred for the company’s dual listing in Hong Kong as well as a non-cash charge of RMB19.2 million in relation to the fair value of the 13 million new shares issued to employees pursuant to the CAH performance share scheme.
