Pension for retiring (no more working) is 10% of an officer's annual salary.   This is the same as 10% of his monthly salary, man. 10 percent is alot of money also, just to shake legs. Lets say, a minister draws 1.2million dollars a year, then his pension is $120,000 divided by 12 should be $10K per month. Wah!! Still chia buay liao.   On top of that if they write a book, see they still make millions without being in the cabinet.

KBW will show tell you HDB is very very very affordable.. don't make noise... the stamp duty fees out of pocket only $8, the rest you can slowly slowly pay till you die what. Again I point out... the $8 he paid was ONLY the out of pocket. The rest was paid with insurances serviced with high premiums that those lower income group cannot afford. |

When Khaw Boon Wan was Heath Minister he asked u to send your parents to Johor b'cos healthcare in S'pore was unaffordable. Now worst  in MND, will he asked u to move your entire family to Johor b'cos HDB will remain unaffordable in the forseeable future? Do u need this kind of leadership?

This scenario reminds me  about history when  Japan invaded Singapore in the early 1900's. The 1st people to run road (and set sail on big ships to England) were the English office bearers and their families & leaving behind the miserable Singaporean to defend themselves helplessly.  What  IF  war breaks out now, do u think u can spot a single MIW or they also jump ship b4 anybody else?

At PM Lee's press conference he said 3 office bearers wanted out even before the Election 2011, i.e. DPM Wong (Home Affairs), Mah Bow Tan (MND) & Raymong Lim (Tpt) but he managed to talk them out to defer till now.  Aren't these MIWs  cowards? Knowing that they lives would be difficult  with  strong opposition like  Chen Show Mao coming to Parliament to question them, they decided to jump ship b4 everybody else.  Do u think they deserve the  $Million salary paid? and should they be asked to repay back to redempt miseries caused by their negligence or incompetence. |

There are many more questions to be asked.. but again... amendments to bills/policies still need 2/3 majority votes which opposition do not have... Not an easy task for the opposition to do much... long way to go... for democracy.

Yes, agreed... this is a big step ahead for Singapore. That psycological barrier has been somewhat overcome. Not totally, but a big step nonetheless. And a wake up call for the incumbent. Unfortunately, it is not enough to vote against policies that are infavourable and only benefiting papies and high flyers. Once upon a time.. Ong TC wanted to do his duty to check the reserves.. what did he get in return? Did he get a state funeral? No.. he was the only president who was not given a State Funeral.. and why? Becoz he asked to do his presidential duty? Was that it? Coz he refused to be a puppet? And Singaporeans give their mandate for that? So who the heck is looking in on the reserves and what is done with it? Goshhhhhh.... whatever we are told, nobody can verify? Not even the president? So many questions.. where are the answers?
