CapitaLand 1Q net profit rises to $101.5m
CapitaLand (CATL.SI), Southeast Asia’s largest property developer, reported a three-fold increase in first quarter net profit over restated earnings, helped by higher profits from development projects and portfolio gains. CapitaLand, about 40%-owned by Singapore state investor Temasek (TEM.UL), earned $101.5 million net profit in the three months ended March, up from $29.8 million a year ago. The firm’s revenue in January-March was $611.5 million, 39% higher than a year ago due to higher contributions from its development projects in Singapore, China and Australia. CapitaLand restated its 2010 earnings downwards to make them comparable with its first quarter results that adopted a new accounting standard that took effect Jan 1. |

sometimes, i doubt this isolator REALLY a trader as he describe himself. I think he more like a working class, who uses his money for investment. From what i read from his post, he enage several stocks, at 1 time. I think traders (pro) normally concentrate on a few stocks. morever, he could only able to short , but could not long..(from his other thread) . This may explain that he had limited sources. And he keeps telling others to short like him in this thread- cos healready vested in short ...wonder why he condemn the long term investor? Is it wrong to invest a company for its value?? Long term investor look for 2 -3 yrs duration, as we used cash to buy and hold. Whats wrong with it. He simply " borrowed" scrips from " us" and short it. Be with it if it falls, does it concern me ? Traders as i already clearify, are short term manupulators who take advantage on the daily mood. Thats nothing wrong....Mr isolator, u just do what u wan to do, but dont bite on others who against u...u win , i don get a share, if u lose, i dont feel pain either....I go for value, and u go for opportunities... thats our different path. as " DIfferent path , could not be allies" by gong zi................ | ||

So called trader " make " a livings. -- by now should looking for exit....never in my life has seen such a arrogant, and talk like a daM IDOIT. i wonder why he is calling long term investor to be nervous, as i yet to see Warren to be nervous during the crisis. Trader trades in and out, and they are nervous when tides go against him...U SHOULD BE THE ONE> to be nervous......hahaha. for me, well, waiting for dividend, opps, u don have le, cos u don not have scripts...i almost forgot...

china decides to let its yuan to appreciate, finally. I expected they will do that. It is the only way to curb inflation, but will hurt its export. But the manfracturer will increase their prices. So good for their country, as inflation will cool down, and also the bubble preventive. Yuan increased somehow good for singapore company- when it convert the yuan into sgd , profits may look better... |
