Apparently, priority postages were pasted all over the mrt cabins. I was surprised  that the cabin size was much smaller. the air con was  less cooling than the  grey color type, even during off peak hours with fewer commuters (not congested/packed). I do note that priority seat was meant for someone with priority needs. It was weird that everyone paid the same transport fare in regards of destination, those  seats  just have to offer to those on priority. I was wondering whether the nature of work in singapore suddenly turns relaxing. which means non fatigue for work and transporting time spent. Is ageing working class consider entitle for priority seats, or a 5mths pregnant woman that need it the most. I prefer old days where priority STICKERS NOTIFICATION WAS LESS OBVIOUS AND COMMUTERS STILL WILLINGLY OFFER SEATS TO THOSE WHO REALLY NEEDS IT new idea thingy sometimes do has an adverse pyscho effects...   |

Let's put away the european or asian. I wonder what the " relatives" of the kid said to her when she asked the pregnant woman for the seat. They might find that she is naive and never told her that that mother is carrying a baby, she needs to sit down. I believe they didn't even educate the kid in this manner. That pregnant woman is always talking about right and may be from a country that has different culture from us. Like often saw indians let their kids plays with the hooks and bar on MRT like monkeys but not japanese or angmoh and most of us. Obviously this woman forget to be sweet to kids and take things easy. If a pregnant woman demand a damn person for seat, I don't see any wrong in it. Instead I would feel ashamed for the damn person. Carrying a few kilos extra on the body every day is a tough job. I used to hear a friends complaint that people(especially the young ones) are so self-centre, she often was not offered seat in a long bus journey to work. I said why didn't you ask, she said well, I just don't. So don't said people are wrong, she is wrong to. She rather see the wrong doing and not correcting it. I ever asked on behalf of a pregnant woman for a seat from a damn person because I couldn't stand it, that is as big as a watermelon, hey.  darn, can't you see that   |

Tell her in bed i am a great gentleman, want try? There r many woman who think we guy should let them had everything first like a princess or queen, and yet they always talk about man woman equality. No matter u r man or woman, we should respect each other (Gay i dont know la), u treat me good i also treat u back with kindness. And dont always think we r maid or your worker that must listen to u and u always must right. This kind of woman i will act retarted idiot and keep staring at her 3 point(mouth water out too)  to scare her off.

To those parents out there: Plse be considerate when you have young babies and a pramp and taking mrt train. Total space used : more than 4 passengers space,. Stop those crying babies in the train if not, will kenna chase out of the train. |

So I read carefully, my mistake, so this European lady is pregnant, then she got her right to take the priority seat as well, therefore the 3 yrs old child should not use his right to ask a seat from a pregnant lady. Both has their equal right and the pregnant lady deserve more I think.

I would think its a culture shock for singaporeans. When i was living in brisbane during my uni days, ppl who are on concession tix have to give up seats for adults who are buying fully paid tix and of course the elderly and pregnant. So in this case the pregnant definitely has the right to ask for the seat, just that most typical singaporean would not ask. We usually wait for ppl to offer.    | ||||

For me, I think the pregnant lady should be given a seat. Actually, she need not ask anyone for a seat in the first place. I dunno how the child behaved, in a spoilt manner or what... BUT I think it's okie to give up my seat to a 3 years old too. Afterall, it's rush hour and the train is jammed pack. I think the mother's gripe is the pregnant lady's insistance to another passenger not to give the child a seat. Ofcoz the 3 yr old should not insist to have a seat.. but I really see nothing wrong in giving my seat up for a 3 yr old. I have done it before. No big deal. | ||||

You go Casino,  a lot well groomed and rich taiai there, if wanna hook one, very easy. The China ones  super rich, when they lost all the chips, they just stretch their hands, someone from behind (i think her worker), will hand her the chips.

Its the culture here.  Every child is treated like an emporor or empress.  The adults  have to give in to them. Sometime ago, I read in newspaper that in Italy, the mother rather sit in train with the children standing. Its the respect for the parents that they are teaching. Actually a child of 3 years old should be able to stand quite well in an MRT. When my children was at this age, I showed them to give up seats to the needy. Its to train them to take care of the needy as well as respect the elders. If you don't teach them when  they are young, you, the mother, will get it eventually, when you are old.  | ||||

Na bei, this european lady, pretty or not, got wear low cut , like MU soccer season,   let off 1/2 (bua liet) ball, or wear sexy mini-skirt. Kan li nia, if she dare to ask me for a seat, I will invite her to sit on my laps with my thumbs up salute at her ass. At least gives some reason, feel giddy or want to vomit or what good grandfather cock or bull story. We should gives up seats for pregnant, toddlers, old and even at times when some one did really ask for a seat and mentioned she is giddy, unless we are dam tired and say sorry I am so tired to let you have this seat, sori, could you please  approached  someone.    Just like there is an  occasion, when I am at the Sentosa Universal Studio, the 4D Shrek movies hall, this lady (pretty tai tai, wear low cut, young and sexy around late 20s, carry an expensive LV bag, with her daughter), while sitting down before the show start, she came late, and left with one seat, she come to me, which I am sitting next to her daughter, she don't even say " please" , then she says " Can I stand up and she needs my seat" , I stare at her, and explain to her my son is sitting next to me, there is no other seats in this row, she start to say some nonsense, what Singapore man is not gentleman or whatsoever, that really piss me. I shouted at her, " Pardon me" , you can sit on my laps and I will provide some shaking like free massage chair, the rest of the rows of people - some indians and some Ang Mo, all laugh. She  quickly  grab her daughter hands and run out ! So you see some people are brainless, and dare to ask and she think it is their right. I pay the same S$66 ticket, I queue and I come in early. There is only one seat left, you daughter sit down, and you stand, that is normal behaviour and logical. Asking me to give up my sit for you, are you my anyone, maybe she thinks she always " hisao hsiao" and always got her right. Come on by passing a statement " Singapore man is not gentleman" . I wonder her parent got teach her any manners " bu ka si" .  |
