This is why for any stock, relying on 'fundamentals' is not the way to go, simply because not everything can be known... Best is to trade strictly by the chart, which says all... It even says more than any fundamentals in the whole world...  |

there is such a thing as TMI (too much info) mah....when they said the project will be affected, most, if not everyone willl know their books will be adversely affected liao....when mgmt actually come out and say it, it is like putting death stamp liao...

Stocks go up and down regardless of fundamentals... When it is time to go up, it will go up, When it is time to go down, it will go down... while fundamentals can remain constant... Thus, we need only to bet well...

HYFLUX LTD Company Registration No.: 200002722Z (Incorporated in the Republic of Singapore) REPLY TO QUERY REGARDING TRADING ACTIVITY Hyflux Ltd (the " Company" ) refers to the queries from the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the " SGX-ST" ) dated 2 March 2011, regarding the substantial decrease in the price of Company’s shares on 2 March 2011. The Company wishes to respond to the queries as follows: Question 1: Are you aware of any information not previously announced concerning you (the issuer), your subsidiaries or associated companies which, if known, might explain the trading? If yes, the information must be announced immediately. Answer: The Company is not aware of any information not previously announced concerning the Company, its subsidiaries or associated companies which, if known, might explain the trading today. Question 2: Are you aware of any other possible explanation for the trading? Answer: One possibility could be the market reaction from the situation in Libya. We have shared with our shareholders that our project in Libya may be delayed and there could be potential loss of revenue. We have at the same time explained that we do not have any investment exposure in Libya. As the situation in Libya is fluid, the Company will increase its focus in Asia to balance our growth strategy. In addition to our current joint venture platform with partners such as Mitsui & Co. Ltd and JGC, the Company is exploring other non-dilutive financial platforms such as issuance of preference shares to support the Company’s expansion plans to capture the potential growth in Asia. The Company has submitted an application to SGX-ST for approval of its proposed amendments to its articles of association to allow for issuance of preference shares and to seek shareholders’ approval for the grant of a general preference share issue mandate. hyflux replied they dunno y oso leh...but prob coz of libya lor...that their project will prob not go ahead but which they had already said before liao...the worst thing is..in their reply to sgx, they mentioned that due to this, their profit will be adversely affected...waliao...why they must mention this? silly reply... siao liao...wait for it to drop further tom... oso said amending m& a to issue pref shares... |

Ai ya. This " baby" of Gov is highly volatile and easily affect by any news. FA for this company is sound, good to accumulate at this level. One the dust in Libya settle, it will Cheong again. |

One need not know anything about any stock to trade well... This counter is a classic case... If one had follow its chart strictly, one would have dumped as soon as it breaks down below the floor and thus subsequently saved a bundle...

FY10 revenue rose 8.6% to S$569.7m, while reported net profit added 18.0% to S$88.5m. The above income for Hyflux come in place without even the Libya project in picture. Emm the market response too extreme to the Libya News. This one, its company FA is very good. N remember Water leh!!! The world need them alot man. Anyway collect while others fear.........Cheers.
