I just checked and saw the stock trading up nicely today, now at .745. If it trades up to.76 that's a sign that smart money wants to be invested before the earnings. |

BioTreat reports on Monday so today or maybe Monday morning is the last chance to buy to play the earnings pop. They will likely report that operations have returned to normal. If they are able to soothe investor concerns about funding (i.e. bank funding in lieu of equity, warrant or convertible bond issuance), then I think there is scope for at least .90 to 1.00 in the short term and 1.2 in the medium term. That would still be at a fair discount to the market PER. For the risk averse, wait for confirmation at the earnings results and buy aggressively if it doesn't trade up to .80 right away. (And longer term holders can buy all the way up to .90). There might be arbitrage related selling so don't necessarily expect it to go up in a straight line, but buy it up on intraday dips as their stock supply will run out quickly. |

ZhouYu, me again. I don't know how you defined good stock. Just wanted to caution you that the management is quite mess up. There was this saga with the Chairman resignation and sudden quarterly loss without sending 'profit warning' like other listed company. etc etc Share price tumbled from 1.30 to low of 60c when the news broke. It is just picking up from it's low. |

HK water stocks are on the move. China Water Affairs +13.7%, China Everbright +11%, Tianjin Capital +4.7%, are the top movers currently. China Water Affairs was upgraded by CLSA yesterday. Today company announced that they are looking at an acquisition in a "water supplier that operates in China" and almost all the HK and China listed water stocks are up. Probably no direct impact on BIOT, but this is a market where good returns attract more money so look for a breakout on BIOT on a sympathy move. Momentum is still positive after the golden cross (10-day crossing 30-day avg) on 1/12. Stock will likely drift into earnings which should be Feb 11th or so. Risk averse traders should reduce exposure if shares ramp up before earnings, but if results are good, there will be further upgrades but the stock could be slow to react due to CB arbitrage selling. Buy aggressively on good earnings. The gap will act as a price attractor so for those with risk appetite, play for the gap to fill to 1.2 and then a blue sky breakout to 1.4 and higher (if the market environment is still bullish). |

I nearly went in at 75c but once bitten twice shy. I am afraid it will be kept in my freezer again. Nevertheless, BIOT is on strong uptrend now! |

------------------------------------------------------------- Bio-Treat also said the next reset date for the conversion price of some $206 million worth of convertible bonds is Jan 18, 2007. The conversion price will be calculated by the average closing price for the 30 working days prior to the reset date, but cannot go below a floor of 91 cents. ------------------------------------------------------------ Someone asked what this means. The convertible bond has a floating conversion price which was at 1.02 and has now refixed to .91 It will not refix any further so there is no risk of further dilution. The 10% dilution from the current refix should have already been factored by any hedgers out there since the spot price was so far below .91. The refixing on Sept 06 from 1.20 to 1.02 caused roughly an additional 15% * 200 MM SGD of stock selling by hedge funds which is one reason the stock fell so sharply and since the refix is now done its also a reason the stock is on the rise now. Now it's an ordinary convertible bond which means there will be some hedge fund sellers as the stock moves higher, but there will be buyers as the stock moves lower going forward. |

I bought shares today at .745. I don't think this news is very important as the investment is fairly small, but it's one more positive item that may work itself into the analyst recommendations. UBS price target is 0.78. I think they will need to revise that upwards in order to maintain buy recommendation. Goldman put out a 1/18th report on Asia themes and had this to say: "One theme we would counsel investors to watch closely is the theme of China Water (GSSZCNWT). This important long-term theme which is a prime focus of the Chinese authorities, given the perilous combination of high economic growth, high water intensity and limited water resources, as well as the curious fact that the theme underperformed the rest of China in 2006" BIOT is 14% of this basket. If institutions start buying the basket, expect BIOT to rise. |

Ya, agree... Even if you've attended a $6,000 training course, after the course, you would still prefer to have the instructor just simply tell you when to buy or sell.... :) |

SINGAPORE ? 18 January 2007 ? In a strategic move to grow its business, Bio-Treat
Technology Limited (?Bio-Treat? or ?The Company?), a biotechnology waste and
wastewater treatment specialist in the PRC, today announced a definitive agreement to
form a joint venture (?JV?) with All Praise Limited (?AP?), the business vehicle adopted
by Bio-Treat?s Japanese JV partners for entering into the JV agreement, to market an
innovative process technology for industrial wastewater treatment.
The new JV, called High Result Limited (?High Result?), will be 60 per cent owned by
Bio-Treat and 40% owned by AP. The total amount of Bio-Treat?s investment in this JV
which is RMB14.4 million, will be funded through internal resources. Technology Limited (?Bio-Treat? or ?The Company?), a biotechnology waste and

The total amount of Bio-Treat?s investment in this JV which is RMB14.4 million, will be funded through internal resources. Bio-Treat Technology Limited Page 2 of 5 High Result will combine the competitive advantages of Bio-Treat and its Japanese joint venture partners to market, in the PRC, a unique physical/chemical process technology for industrial wastewater treatment (the ?Japanese Technology?) invented by the Japanese partners. Utilizing the Japanese Technology, a proprietary blend of coagulant for wastewater treatment under the Aqua-Mate brand, has been further invented by the Japanese partners. This coagulant has been tested to be especially effective and efficient for treating complex compositions of industrial wastewater such as that which involves colours, heavy metals, and other toxic components. The Aqua-Mate coagulant also has the proven ability to handle other treatment requirements which are difficult for the traditional coagulants to handle. Under the terms of the JV agreement, High Result will own the proprietary rights to both the process technology and the coagulant formula. The PRC patent application to protect the innovative process technology and the coagulant formula have been filed. The JV will also take advantage of the competitive costs of production in the PRC to establish a production facility in Dongguan City, the PRC to manufacture the coagulant. The building of the production facility is expected to be completed before the end of FY2007, and commencement of production will happen soon thereafter. At the new production facility, High Result expects to manufacture 60,000 tons of coagulant per year. The coagulant manufactured at this facility will be sold in the PRC as well as exported to overseas markets, including Japan. Bio-Treat has a highly successful track record in the secondary treatment wastewater treatment process. With the Company?s access to the unique Japanese Technology for the pre-treatment of wastewater through this joint venture, it will also be able to diversify the scope of its business into two new areas ? Refractory Industrial Wastewater Treatment and Water Recycling. Bio-Treat?s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Dennis Chan said he was pleased with the latest ?step? Bio-Treat was taking in its drive to be a significant industry player. ?The formation of this JV builds extraordinary value for Bio-Treat. With the JV, we will move into a new realm of our wastewater treatment business by extending our services to Bio-Treat Technology Limited Page 3 of 5 new areas in Refractory Industrial Wastewater Treatment and Water Recycling. Adding another exciting dimension to the JV is the strategic access Bio-Treat will gain for the expansion of our business in Japan. We intend to leverage on our rights to export the PRCproduced coagulant to the Japanese market as an effective platform to expand our product offerings to Japan.? For a start, Bio-Treat plans to implement the Japanese Technology on its industrial and municipal wastewater treatment projects for the primary stage or pre-treatment process prior to subjecting the wastewater to the secondary stage of treatment using its own proprietary BMS Biological Process Technology. ?By applying the unique combination of the Japanese Technology with our proprietary BMS Biological Process Technology for treating wastewater, the output quality of the treated water should be significantly improved, as compared to that which has been treated by the other traditional forms of pre-treatment,? explained Mr Chan. ?We believe that the compelling value proposition of the Japanese Technology, the proprietary coagulant, combined with the strength of our BMS Biological Process Technology, will broaden Bio-Treat?s range of product applications to treat, in a more effective and efficient manner, complex industrial wastewater. In short, it is a perfect union of technologies, where the result is significantly greater than the sum of the parts.? This ?union? places Bio-Treat in a stronger position than before to bid for large-scale municipal projects, especially those that entail the treatment of high percentage of industrial wastewater and those which its competitors are not able to treat, or cannot treat to the required discharge standard of the Environmental Protection Agency in the PRC. From a growth perspective, Mr Chan believes that the JV is expected to have a positive, long-term impact on Bio-Treat due to the following reasons: ? New streams of recurring income generated through the new businesses of the joint
venture. venture. ? Expected increases in volume of industrial wastewater treatment business due to
the application of the unique combination of the Japanese Technology with Bio-
Treat?s proprietary BMS Biological Process Technology on existing and future
projects. the application of the unique combination of the Japanese Technology with Bio- Treat?s proprietary BMS Biological Process Technology on existing and future projects. Expected new project opportunities arising from utilizing the two technologies.
For instance, with this joint venture in place, Bio-Treat believes that it will be in a
good position to bid for recycling projects in the northern China region where
recycling of water is urgently needed.
?We are very excited about this new partnership. We believe the JV will generate strategic
and economic benefits to Bio-Treat through increased scope, new products and services,
tangible synergies and expansion into new geographic markets ? all the right reasons for a
JV. The JV is expected to expand the market for Bio-Treat and bring to market new and
advanced wastewater treatment solutions,? enthused Mr Chan.
