did u read the previous post that the nk is unlikely take any aggresive actions other than just live fire drills. it may cost the whole nk nation if they do that. anyway, you can see now heavy consolidation @ 325. if buy ups continue to 335, trend will reverse and uptrend will kick in. tomorrow closing will set the tone for next week for the foreign bourses economic data. it will be ok most probably. load up before you are left out. |

after what had happened to china animal, now i have certain knowledge as to why the management did not want to have paid coverage for his company on krx. the rise on this counter is purely based on investors' interest in the gem, not continously coverage for the stock like some other stocks. for long term, it actually benefit the vested sharesholders. i have absolute confidence in this counter more than ever. it rises and shines via its own efforts and the sharesholders and the public voted for its confidence by buying up in this counter. i will not foresee the huge sell off on the day this gem started trading in krx. i think it will steadily climb to close the gap in the px in krx since we can buy here and sell in krx. dont foregt this will be the largest textile company in krx, the px launched will be a premium relatively compared to sgx. and we can transfer shares from sgx to krx for a better valuation. it is very smart for management to think of listing in krx instead of following others to list in other countries. very beneficial to sharesholders. do accumulate at this region. showing some activities now, it is starting to rise again. remember 40 cents next week. load up before you are left out. |

South Korea announced on Wednesday land and sea military exercises including its largest-ever live-fire drill near North Korea in a big show of force just as tension on the peninsula was easing after Pyongyang's attack on a southern island. The land drill, involving artillery, fighter jets and the largest number of personnel in a peace-time exercise, will take place on Thursday, after the South's live-fire artillery exercise on the island of Yeonpyeong, and is bound to infuriate the North.
He would not provide details. Yonhap news agency said the drills were taking place 100 km (60 miles) south of the maritime border with North Korea and involved at least six naval boats. North Korea this week offered to re-admit U.N. inspectors concerned about its nuclear-weapon program, leading to speculation of a resumption of six-party disarmament talks and a general sigh of relief around the world that the crisis had passed. "Yes, it will be a show of force against that," an army officer said when asked if the shelling of Yeonpyeong island last month was a factor in the land drill's planning. He said similar drills had been staged previously on more than 50 occasions, but the scale this time was unprecedented. "The scale of mechanised assets taking place is enormous. When we would normally have 6 K-9 mechanised artillery, we'll have 36. We'll have the F-15 jets firing. We'll have choppers. You can say most of the mechanised assets taking part will be firing live ammunition." It will take place in Pocheon region, less than 50 km (30 miles) north of downtown Seoul. The South carried out live-fire drills on Yeonpyeong on Monday, which provoked only a verbal reaction from the North. It had vowed to strike back if the South went ahead with the drills, prompting fears of all-out war. China, North Korea's only major ally, has urged dialogue to resolve the crisis and urged the North to follow through on its offer to allow U.N. inspectors into the country. The Chinese Foreign Ministry had no immediate comment on the planned drill. Analysts say the North is unlikely to undertake another act of aggression like this year's attack on South Korea's Cheonan warship, blamed on the North by the United States and the South, and the Yeonpyeong shelling, at least in the near term. Its most likely next move would be to conduct live-fire artillery drills or possibly a short-range missile test into its waters off the west coast. Analysts have said its recent militaristic acts have served to bolster family rule as ailing leader Kim Jong-il grooms his youngest son, Kim Jong-un, as his successor. The South's Joongang Daily said before the announcement South Korea should practice "nimble diplomacy" and forge a closer relationship with China. "As long as there is a constant threat from the North to launch a surprise attack, we must be on high alert from a military perspective," the newspaper said. "But such preparations should be combined with diplomacy. We should reduce our diplomatic dependence on the United States and strengthen our ties with China and Russia." Finance Minister Yoon Jeung-hyun, also speaking before the announcement of the drill, said domestic financial markets had weathered the crisis and the South Korean economy, Asia's fourth-largest, stayed on a growth track. But he warned that the tension could still dent consumer spending with a key sentiment measure due on Friday. "Financial markets have been absorbing the North Korea risk without big trouble but we can't rule out consumer spending getting hurt," Yoon said during a weekly meeting of senior economic officials. The won [KRW=X 1152.9 -2.25 (-0.19%)] edged down slightly while stocks and bonds were stable as traders shrugged off the North Korea risk. Traders said earlier that the currency was generally being affected more by concern over the euro zone. Consumers and businesses in South Korea say they have lived with tension on the divided peninsula for decades and markets do not always react although the recent crisis had rattled global markets and remained an underlying risk.

hate to say this guys but it will continue to dip, may not be so much as mentioned, looking from the chart. but always good to accumulate when dip. foreign mkts shows strength but local bourses are not showing the exact mood due to holiday week and of course, the korea fire drills. the sk are testing the nk patience by conducting largest drill ever, but reliable quote stating that "The land drill, involving artillery, fighter jets and the largest number of personnel in a peace-time exercise, will take place on Thursday, after the South's live-fire artillery exercise on the island of Yeonpyeong, and is bound to infuriate the North." Analysts say the North is unlikely to undertake another act of aggression like this year's attack on South Korea's Cheonan warship, blamed on the North by the United States and the South, and the Yeonpyeong shelling, at least in the near term. Its most likely next move would be to conduct live-fire artillery drills or possibly a short-range missile test into its waters off the west coast. " we should keep our eyes open but the war may not start. keep watching the news for updates. i personally dont think will as the cost to nk is too much to bear for their nation. i would say it will end lower this week. we have to see hows the market environment and tone next week. if there are no exploding unfavourable news from europe and nk agrees to sit back on the discussion table for negotiation. we may see rally on global markets again for the end of next week. the movement trends for all dual listing for now is that all the dual listed stocks are quiet after the official date of trading. im not sure for krx but it remains unknown as to how the korean market will perceive this dual listed gem there. if the official px and demand is huge in krx, i think locally it will rise some more to close the gap between the 2 bourses as we can buy here and sell there. so the px there is very critical factor to set the run here in locally. nevertheless, im optimistic about this gem for the next few years at least on the asian story and remember to sell only when fundamentals go against the norm, if fundamentals are good, we should keep and accumulate when it dips further. time to hold tight to ride out this week and do look forward to next week and enjoy this week christmas holiday guys. dont worry too much, we are holding a very rock solid counter here, the daily fluctuations are purely noises on distraction mode, ignore and keep monitoring the px and the general environment. load up before you are left out. |
