Actually i studied alot on DR which is why i feel i need to warn some new people who haven entered this counter yet. As you said it yourself,

What is the incentive then for this counter to rise up high over here in Singapore? The incentive would really be to keep price low here and re-sell it over at KRX at higher price right? =P

Please note, this is not a buy call or sell call. Just hoping that people will do more homework before entering this counter. If you are just going in short term for a quick buck, no problems at all! But long term wise, really need to be careful abit. =)

Tmr early morning, Nikkei'll open red. Follow by STI. & dan SSE opens red. Lately Hangseng'll open red too...

thanks for sharing on C&O. although it has Sumitomo Corp vested, i am still not convinced its share price will go up any time soon... Sumitomo is a too big corperation which invests in almost every field of business, it has 3 subsidiaries listed as Fortune 500, but becoz its too big, its investment in C&O is not significant... 

ChinaAniH has been in my watch list for a long time.. i think will try to enter at  .410 or .405 if fall back..

To add on, all textile coys are in KRX performing v. well. GX is still performing at v. low PE. Lots of room to catch up .

After listing in KRX, expect px to go up.. TREMENDOUSLY there.

So what would investors/traders do? Buy here low sell higher there.

GX listing in SGX during its IPO px of 25c was during the financial crisis. A lot of info has already been posted on this, so those who are not well informed, i can see you are heading no where.

And what happens when more investors buy and bring the share px up? Isn't that good for the coy to see its share px up? lol thats for you to know and find out more :)

You never study to what is dual listing with depository receipt.

A depositary receipt (DR) is a type of negotiable (transferable) financial security that is traded on a local stock exchange but represents a security, usually in the form of equity, that is issued by a foreign publicly listed company. The DR, which is a physical certificate, allows investors to hold shares in equity of other countries.

With DR investors are allowed to trade his share in others country. Suppose Gaoxian IPO at KRX is 0.40

then investors can buy low at sgx with maybe 0.30 and sell at KRX with 0.40 with 3 trading days to transfer.

Now you know the reason already?  

But the central question should be,

Why would a dual listing lead to an increase in the share price of a particular counter? So the argument is that companies that dual list on 2 separate bourses should then command higher valuations, and so the Singapore share price should re-rate to follow those on the korean exchange?

For those who are thinking of entering Gaoxian. Just think for a second, if price rise to match the levels similar to the Korean exchange, what will happen next? Delist? Why incur additional costs to list on 2 exchanges? In this respect, doesn't it makes more sense to keep prices in one exchange low, and buy it up and then sell it off in Korea to pocket the difference?

 Unless you're telling me that the listing in Korea will come in the form of new shares. This will result in dilution of the share value, which will impact on the price itself!
