yes. best time to load. raffles has 3 university pending approval and they are talking to Khazanah group to raise its stake by another 10%. this stock used to be a favourite among investors. it is the largest private education provider in Asia Pacific. it is a bargain to get the current valuation. this stock should be easily be more than 50 cents in my opinions. it may become the next osim. |

Dun kid yourself. this one already past his prime . Need to reboot before seeing any upside. Unless they get Harvard professor to come and teach. It is unlikely it will gain momentum anytime soon. Every bull run has its actors cast and this one has already got its q last round so new players has taken over. So pls spend more time on other counters. Once GIC starts to divest out, it will mean the end of the world and propablly the bottom |

Worst is likely over ! Times to buy and keep. Cannot get at this prices when the worst is over. Wait till it anounce profit, the price will be at above 50cents to wait for you. Buying Opportunity cannot miss. |

Raffles Education: Poor start to FY11 Summary: Raffles Education Corp (REC) released its 1QFY11 results last Thursday, with revenue falling 18.2% YoY and 5.5% QoQ to S$42.2m, or around 19.7% of our original FY11 forecast, as it continues to feel the impact of lower student enrolments (mainly from China). And coupled with higher operating expenses from its enlarged operations, net profit saw a huge 58.3% YoY and 73.9% QoQ tumble to S$5.9m, or just 11.6% of our full-year estimate. While core net profit (excluding forex and exceptionals) has also tumbled 68.3% YoY to S$5.2m, we note that it was a turnaround from the estimated S$2.6m net loss recorded in 4QFY10. The fall in student enrolments appears to be much larger than expected and we think that the numbers are unlikely to recover significantly in the near term. As a result, we are paring our FY11 revenue forecast by 12.2% (FY12 by 11.4%) and earnings estimate by 17.7% (FY12 by 13.3%). In turn, our fair value drops from S$0.33 to S$0.285 (still based on 18x FY11F EPS). However, we still believe that the worst is likely over for REC, and we should see meaningful earnings contribution coming in from the 14 new colleges REC has established over the last two years. I guess when the day come where Raffles Edu have same faith like informatic at 0.16 is when a major crisis like mortgage crisis reoccur again lol Then you can see blue chip like DBS under $10 lol ... buying frenzy lol same fate as InfOrmatIcs ? ? ? ?
