Everybody been wondering why 'expensive' things allowed to be spiledl like that. a Plot? No one knows! First day, the oil spilled, the next day, their oil rig sunk in. It looks like it is dangerous to those 'oil rig' companies to carry out any activities for an 'unlimited' time. How much business will be lost?

Nail the culprit and get 'those of the kind' to pay for it. My friend wanted to plan a trip to go diving. I have asked him to scoop up some oil and bring back home to sell. |

Actually, this is quite big deal. The last attempt was their last resort to stop the spill immediately. The next solution is to Build a well on top of the current spill, which could take up July to complete. Unless, they can stop the spill fast, marine life there will be seriously affected for years. Not to mention the cost and fines, BP is going to pay.

Seems like BP has been undersstating the amt spilled daily. Officially 5000 barrels per day but truth alot closer to 10000 or more daily. They r liable to unlimited claims from civil lawsuits as well. Was getting bombarded by CNN n BBC on all these reports recently! | ||||

The oil spills in the gulf of Mexico that saw an hiterto insurmountable dissaster may herald a concerted effort by governments to view drilling with cautious apprehension to grant licences thus offering alternative approaches to provide resources as displacement for any potential energy shortage. At the same time, the occurence of such event as in the mexican gulf could provide rooms for trying new or established alternatives less used and probably give rise to impetus to the world to build or seek alternative technologies so much needed to combat polarisation of business in a specific field and do away with obselete technologies and skills. It is time for technical and scientific professionals to work hard and invent new technologies that are less dangerous to our environment as a whole and to uplift us into a new age. Already many technologies are prevaling or invented and have been tested but not used because their simplicity and abundant availability of resources might interfere with established capital investment recoverable only in decades that might have gone to waste with the use of such newer technologies. But in order to advance we cannot have our cake and eat it. JMHO on things affecting our lives. Cheers. |
