Desperate yes, but also very smart ! I think REC management has many intelligent people, that's why they can always come up with good ideas to continue to grow REC.Smiley

Now they are doing it in Malaysia and will be issuing certs that are recognised by Malaysian government. Sooner or later they will need to do this because so far they are a "virtual school" means with no campus and just issuing their own certified degrees without been recognised by any other universities. With this new campus in Malaysia, they will have a "base" and can start to issue their own certs and degrees by clamining that MOE Malaysia recogises Raffles University. Very smart rite

If China parents find out that they are paying 29K USD for a 3 year course that ties their kid's future to a technical institute used to train foreigh labours, they will freak out! ITE producing scholars??? Do you know what you are talking about? Reputation, once gone, its gone !

 Alert Admin 		The ITE deal makes sense since it provides a certain synergy to its local programmes. Smart students from the JCs and Polys don't go to Raffles college for a degree. Raffles degree tend to attract vocational students in the arts and designs stream. Most of these students are in the ITEs and Polys.

Since 2008, there started numerous complaints abOut SingapOreans whO cannOt UNderstand SiMPLE ENGLiSH and made a MASS iN the frOnt LiNE SERViCES at FiVE STARS hOtels and restaurants and shOpping centres.
