I noticed that China Energy has RMB 600 million loans maturing this year. It doesn't have enough cash to repay it so are there plans to refinance the loan or raise a rights issue ? | ||||

The Board of Directors of China Energy Limited (the “Company”, together with the Company’s subsidiaries and associated companies referred to as the “Group”) wishes to announce that the Company has, on 8 January 2010, entered into a conditional Licensing and Long Term Supply Agreement (the “Agreement”) with Jiutai Energy Inner Mongolia Co., Ltd. (“Jiutai Inner Mongolia”) as part of the Group’s growth strategy and plans to penetrate new markets and to establish new customer bases. The details of the Agreement are set out in Paragraph 2 below. Jiutai Inner Mongolia is a company incorporated in China and having its principal place of business in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, China. Cui Lianguo, the controlling shareholder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, who together with Cui Lianxin, Zhao Lianfen and Zhang Liming, controls directly and/or indirectly 86% of the issued share capital of Jiutai Inner Mongolia. Jiutai Inner Mongolia was established to develop, own and operate certain assets in Inner Mongolia, including coal mining rights, and has plans to establish methanol and Dimethyl Ether (“DME”) production facilities close to the source of coal in Inner Mongolia. The relevant authorities in Inner Mongolia have issued Jiutai Inner Mongolia a permit to build a 100,000 tonnes per annum DME plant and to manufacture DME in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia but Jiutai Inner Mongolia does not have the necessary technical knowledge to build the DME Plant. In summary, the Group’s primary obligations contemplated within the Agreement is to grant Jiutai Inner Mongolia controlled access to the Group’s technical knowledge required for building the latter’s DME production facility (“DME Plant”). In return, Jiutai Inner Mongolia will sell and supply all DME produced at the DME Plant to the Group exclusively, at a price discounted to the DME market price in Inner Mongolia. Further, Jiutai Inner Mongolia will grant the Company a right of first refusal (“Plant First Right of Refusal”) and a call option (“Plant Call Option”) to acquire the DME Plant and rights over the land upon which the DME Plant is situated (“Plant Land”), on the terms set out in the Agreement. this is so wrong to say coal supply shortage in china. China is say to have one of the world largest coal reserved. As long as fuel prices goes up. Where DME will be seem to be the alternative cheaper solution. ChinaEnergy can move out of its cash tight situation. But i believed its happening :) furthermore China is supporting green energy. Fingercross to see more upside might test 0.30
