Last minute sell-down? are you getting worried? how long do you intend to hold onto this counter? or are you trading on margin? Assuming that you are not trading on high margin and intend to hold for at least 3-6months. So what if the counter falls another 5-cents to 0.12/share, does it matters much? will you be too worried to hold onto it and then relief your position at a loss (probably)? i think you can just shut down your computer and focus on whatever you are doing now after you know how much additional FCOT stocks you have (tomorrow) if you had decided not to sell off your holdings at the current rate. Tentatively, you may also set a price alert on the price which you would want to sell (to make a profit or cut loss) then close your trading platform (if you are only monitoring this counter for this reason) and continue to do whatever you are doing ~ working or studying, even if you are so free that you have nothing to do.. dont let such sell-downs or major price collapse affects your mood, your emotion because it surely wont do yourself any good at all. My 2-cent worth.

Sorry i need to ask a noob question. If the share is credited into my cdp account and not my broker account, how am i going to sell the shares. |

He just said this kinda of right shares will not show on your brokerage a/c, only on your cdp a/c. I think it's because you don't subcribe for rights thru brokerage.

the new share will be in your CDP account tomorrow morning, check your CDP tomorrow early morning you cannot see this type of thing in broker accounts.

No doubt there will be dilution but how much lower do you think the price of this share will go? Below 15cents? Below 10cents? Below 7cents? I think this is the question that I am trying to give my opinion on. I dont think the counter will stay at this price range for long if the market is to recover. One of the main reasons why the counter is in this situation (raising for funds) is because of the stringent borrowing condition that we are having now, not any other kind of problems such as managements screw-ups (ie. sino-environment, ferrochina). High borrowing rate as insitutions are not willing to lend. People are getting unemployed due to a lack of demand in growth which results in increasing vacancies in the commerical rentals as companies fold, shrink. In addition, global valuations for properties had went down quite a bit during these 1-2years and I see the possibility of it rebounding as well as demand for commercial areas to come back gradually. I dont think this counter will make much headways relative to the other counters such as Sinotel or other discovered gems. REITs counters are usually laggards in the stock market and this has not change. However, if one were to consider an option for mid-long term investment, perhaps this is a recommendation from a novice like me. And of course, like all equities, there are risks involved, no exceptions for this which is the dilution factor, the 'what-if' the market dont recover~no demand in the next 2-3years and so on.. So as an investor (not only in this counter but every counters), you have to be clear of what 'shit' you will be expose to. Buy, hold safely. Market is likely to be volatile for the next 1-2years. But I always believe that if you see a value in a company, you feel like be part of the company (be part of the ownership), only then buy in the counter. Fast money do come easy at times, however what comes fast, goes down fast as well ~ that's what a lot of investors (especially recent) are doing. Just for honest 2-cent worth. |

I agree with you, dealer0168 that some people may had already sold off some of their 'positions' and only left with the RIGHTS which is due to them on 26 August. Perhaps that explains why there may not be another round of mass selling on the counter, not just this one, but for most of the counters. From observation (especially the most recent REIT counter ~ Starhill Global), after the rights are issued, the counter stayed relatively flat between the range of 0.5-0.525 region, it only dropped to 0.485 during the XR period. So i do somehow expect FCOT case to be similar.

After that those right they receive, they will wait fr another high achieved by their stock b4 selling. That maybe the reason why after that stock after rights will slowly move up. (Just think why first day stock fall alots during XR, bc people trying to sell all their holding at high price, leaving jus their right share that they will receive in future) That is the BB way of movement too........... i guess. Although i am not a investor to this counter. But jus want to highlight something, n that is selling presure does not necessary will start during nil-paid right period. Or when investor got their right. People normally will atticipate the amt of right they have n sell in advance. That is a smarter move. just my opinion. |

I dont think many people will want to sell down this counter as I see no reason for doing so (unless China or US suddenly crashes overnight again just like what happened last year). However, I do agree that more issue-shares in the market will probably create more volatility to the already very volatile market. Many people has been speculating that this counter will hit another new low, maybe even below than 10cents/share due to heavy sell-down which I personally dont see it as a good chance of happening unless there is another round of global fear and mass selling. Technically, this counter is generally on a neutral-positive trend with some positive momentum and relative healthy RSI (at around 42.5%), ADX is seems healthy with the negative trendline heading downwards gradually. Should the market continue to inch up over the next few session and recovers gradually, I do see that this counter should confidently do above $0.2/share in about 4-6months time. Something to take note for investors who are looking at this counter will be its performance in the next 2-3weeks. On the coming Thursday (27 August), FCOT shareholders will start to trade their entitled, converted rights (the additional shares) and should there be a heavy sell-down (due to locking profit), the counter may become a bit more volatile in these coming 2-3 weeks, this may likely to happen if there is a major correction in STI (which seems healthy in short-term, no signs of overbought yet). Just my 2-cent worth. |

Let's wait and see how much this will drop. Hope that those people who are aiming to get it at lower prices (below $0.135-0.140) will not feel too disappointed if the price maintain above $0.135 for the rest of the time. I dont think many can time their entries to perfection, if you think you are the special one, please try your luck. I wish you happy waiting...
