I share the same view as cheongwee. Dyodd n BOSAYOR, dun follow recommendations blindly. Gain the knowledge of TA first n know the FA of tat stock, pullout any cgart to do dry test of your knowledge n review where u go wrong. Firstly, go for good FA stock, then time entry n exit with TA. rage11, I suggest u click on my nick to read my past advices to newbies, search my 3 "golden mantras" n the thread "Learning TA", created purposely with newbies in mind. The stock mkt is a mercilessly beast, w/o knowledge of slaying it, u will instead be slayed.

Yes, I am learning how to read TA. Have been following richtan's post. Went to install chartnexus to learn how to read chart. Still picking up, but still not very sure. Ok, I can understand. No problem, cheongwee. I will not follow blindly to others' recommendations too. It will be just for my reference.

ragw11........dont be afraid to miss opportunity, there are always opportunity in the market to make money.. take time to paper trade first, to gain more experience and confidence,before u go for the real one..dry run.. and learn to be a value invester, learn read balance sheet of coy, learn fr richtan and bintang on TA and etc...they are good tool... be patient.....dont doing thing bluntly,..so i am not giving you wat stock to buy...most likely u dont know how to sell...you will be play by your emotion...so i am not doping u good..pls understand... |

Yes, understand what singaporegal trying to mean. Yes, I agreed GREED really kills and I have experienced it myself too...very scary... But anyway since I do not know how to play margin, I guess I shall give it a miss then. I will wait till I know how to crawl and run very well before I go learn how to fly. Anyway, any personal recommendations on any counters from you, cheongwee?

Yes, agreed with richtan. Have been following you on Ausgroup but due to lack of cash to hold therefore did not earn much. Any other recommendations? now that i can hold for any with a value of 10k.

singaporegal is right....only if you know how to play margin,,,it is a good tool... she is not calling you to play margin.... singaporegal said... not to over extend ourselves...in another word, she is calling you not to be too greedy.. i am of the same opinion as hers...extreme GREED KILLS!!!!

Playing with margin is only for the very experienced and knowledgeable. For the average trader n newbies, u are playing with fire. Learn to crawl first, then walk, then run, then fly. Try to fly even b4 knowing how to crawl n u will fall hard n injured.

Why is that I say you must not play margin?... Because with only $10,000, you will be actually playing $50k-200k or more... Because you are playing margin!... hehehe... there's little margin for consolation!...

Yes, that is what i think so too... Every now and then i have been playing with stocks but i still think its better not to touch margin... Yes, I want to make really good use the 10k wisely...that is why I post to ask for some advise and recommendations hopefully.
