Is KepLand share falling now due to correction or the effect of the rights? I thought the rights effect will come into play on 12 June, or has it started already? I notice that CapitaLand started dropping last 2 days as well. |

Hope for the $8 to $9 range to surface again, maybe another 1 to 2 years time loh. Some stock can keep for long term (like those established blue chip). Wait long for better harvest for this one. Cheers.

Good news to share: Singapore’s property stocks rallied as analysts forecast residential property prices will rise in the second half of the year as the city-state’s economy starts to recover from its worst-ever recession, reported Bloomberg. City Developments, the city’s second-biggest developer, said last week it raised prices at one of its projects by as much as 6% and sold the remaining 33 apartments at another development. “We think this is a positive development and suggests high probability of a meaningful recovery from the second half of 2009,” Regina Lim, an analyst at UBS AG in Singapore, wrote in a note today. City Developments gained 7.1% to $10.12 at 3:33 p.m., headed for its highest close since Sept 2. CapitaLand, Southeast Asia’s biggest developer, surged 6.6% to $4.05, poised for its highest close since Aug 15. Keppel Land, a unit of Keppel Corp., climbed 8.1% to $2.66, set for its highest close since Sep 1. Private home prices plunged 14% in the first quarter, the most in at least 16 years, according to preliminary data issued by the Urban Redevelopment Authority on April 1. Prices have retreated for three-straight quarters amid Singapore’s worst recession since its independence in 1965. “I think that property prices in Singapore have bottomed out already,” said Brandon Lee, an analyst at DMG & Partners Securities Pte in Singapore. “Going forward, prices are going to see an increase of up to 5% for the second half of the year and an increase of between 5% and 10% in 2010 as well.”

Kepland invested mainly commerical, unlike capitaland that focus on residential. Kepland has may not move as furious as capitalland.

Kepland versus Capitaland Both have issued rights, Cland seems to be very strong post rights, no collapse in pricing, will kepland go the same way. These 2 share price always move in tandem and at one time kepland had even outperformed Cland. Does anyone have any insights into kepland long term price prospects, any chance of touching or exceeding historic high.

Do correct me if i'm wrong. Those existing shareholders have the chance to buy the rights share or choose to get their dividend by 2nd June 09. Once this are settle, those shareholders with the rights share are able to trade as main shares (does this mean to convert to ordinary shares or trade as kepland rights)? I'm confused Does Kepland restrict the 'rights share' holders in certain areas? (eg. any time-frame before they can start trading in the market). - Just feel a little weird when out of sudden, the price started to climb. Didn't get in now as do not know if it is a fake bull.
