Bull or Bear , i think Temasek employees and Board of director still win.. I am wondering how much bonus they will be getting?? Or none??? Can someone shed some light.. For good performance, they say they dun lose as much when guage against certain Stock indices or Hedge Fund.. Hmnn... do we consider that as good performance. Citi CEO getting paid $1 per annum until it return to profitability.. Can Temasek CEO do that also, until u make back all the losses then can be paid for the performance.. ( Sure will come up with some excuse, like this is not the way to do it we have to think long term) We have to retain talent in case they run to other companies... It is ok to lose a few billion as we are looking at a very big recession. These talent invest when bank stocks are at their high and sell when they are at their low. (So TALENTED) hee hee.. So that common investors can make some some money out of the bull run.... |

Since Temasick can off-load with three months...on the wrong footing GIC can also buy into CITIGrp's, when it goes below 3.25 (their bench mark is set only at a low of US$3.25) and in a very good uptrench time...Citi can be sold for 32.5 when hitting cloud nine. |

"even Warren Buffett lose money this time who are those scholars in TeaMassage compared with WB". The TeaMassage can be the Tea-messeger, so are those surrounding her and the chief..the chairman. teeth53 thot so. The chief is and must be accountable to the public. WB is pure private funded money...Temasick is pure state funded money. State funded money mean exactly like US Treasuary Dept giving AIG US$180 billion and Citigroup's US$90 billion of US taxpayers money. The outrageous exceptions, occurred at both AIG (AIG, Fortune 500), is now nearly 80%-owned by U.S. taxpayers, and at Merrill Lynch, massive style bonuses were paid last Dec to top traders and bankers B4 BoA took over for US$50billion, though Merrill lost $27.6 billion in 2008, took $10 billion in TARP funds and was Merrill is days away from a likely bankruptcy filing after Lehman declare bankrupty just one day ahead. Temasick is extermely lucky not to shed tear only day away. |

The not so confuse leading the confuse, err...all the yes man....Too terrible proud to enknowledge, misjudgement made on jumping too quickly into world of investment...and caused the FinanceMinistry to come out and explained again...We has to look at..not six months, or one year result, but five, ten years down the road. Equally left wondering about ABC childcare centre collapse down under.
Just wondering how much will S$58 billion is to be recover back..next ten years.. ?.

Sigh it is rather unfair to blame those TeaMassage ppl, even Warren Buffett lose money this time who are those scholars in TeaMassage compared with WB. If these people are that good they can just invest their own money instead of state funds. Moreover, they are so slow in reaction, again we cant blame them because ppl like us we can monkey in and out of market to earn kopi $$$ but those scholars cant. They cant becos everyone of them are scholars they have to show ppl that they are damn cool and by keeping cool they showed that they are damn deep too and of cos being deep, common folks like us wont be able to understand their strategic moves. And frankly many ppl dont really understand their "strategic moves".............

it is not a mistake, it is part of an overall strategy, you will understand in 10yrs or 20 yrs time..haha.. ..that's why we pay top dollars for small group of people to lead us , no one need to explain because BOA is not a big deal , we manage big funds......we should not expect guarantee profits every time we make an investment ....only saviing and fixed deposit can guarantee.... familiar ?.

Ms Ho,. CEO of Temasick holding declared by Oct 2009 to go....Just wondering when Temasick Chairman,. Mr Dana is going out..by rite - oredi lasted too much longer then usual, should be retired many years back liao. Co's Temasick made not one but two huge mistake. 1st misjudgement: Investing into Merrill Lynch with US$ 5.1 billion and again 2nd misjudgement - sold all BoA shares on a down turn, clearing out it stake by Mar 2009, missing out on a rally at the start of d 2nd quarter, which saw BoA shares double in value from US$7/- to US14 dollars apiece. Termasick sold it down from estimated highest intra-day price Jan6, 2009 (US$14.81) down to it lowest intra-day price Feb20, 2009 (US$2.53)...On average of US$7 apiece. For more info...pls click following... http://news.asiaone.com/News/Latest%2BNews/Business/Story/A1Story20090516-141801.htmlTemasek sold its 3 percent stake in Bank of America in the first quarter of this year, taking a loss of around US$3 billion in the process Temasick's Holding portfolio has been rocked by this fallout from the global market slump in d wake of the US sub-prime crisis. It net protfolio value dropped from S$185 billion to S$127 billion from March 31 to Nov 30 last year, a fall of 31%. Meanwhile in contrast to her father-in-law.... GIC is seen sitting on small paper win today...Citigroup's closing price of US$3.55 teeth53 thot: It is not fair claiming not to know we are going into prolong recession and do we need to lost that much again and again. Wondering what is so greatest about this so call talented people's ?. lost S$50 billion and claiming credit and fame....very rubberlish putting up a brave front. |

Singapoearn...All listen carefully. We been told our investment is for long term..right..Ya Now what is all this ???....Temasek Sold All Bank Of America Shares As of March and Red flag has rose and fallen on to muted wall of casted stone. Sold for a lost cause, to the tune of writing of several billion of dollars from our beloved Ms Ho. What next..???. what is the point of holding on...is that right when this biggest ship (BoA) still got plenty of pot holes to plug. Can someone do a simple calculation how many schools and or hospitals we can built ?, or how many time those lost money can help to feed the poor ?. "How could we have known this was the extent of the damage? Well mentioned by someone very popular and famous...Another word when one do not known or really knew, then be prepare to QUIT...YA. In contrast of what her father-in-law...for GIC team When times to arrive for Citi to emerge stronger, it will be in S'pore blessing as a regional financial Hub and strenghtening Singapore as another world player |

Citigroup is back on right footing, 5-10yr to full recovery on ShareJunction forum. Thing to note: Last stage...Got Cash is king to investment strategic. teeth53 thot: This will be my estimation, between a 5 to 10 years times frame. GIC will be able to see it recovery on Citigroup as a worthy cause. Today. Straits Times. Sat , Mar 21, 2009, headline has more confident to published full recovery is at least two (2) to three (3) years away or it could take up to six years, says MM lee. This is the work of US president Obama and his finance team to revise the economy by end of his (Obama) 1st (5 years) term. teeth53 thot: When times to arrive for Citi to emerge stronger, it will be in S'pore blessing as a regional financial Hub and strenghtening Singapore as another world player, having play a critical role in strenghtening Citigroup, thus can see alot more players (banks and bankers alike) parking their $$$ here. However S'pore will have to strengthen and update it rules and financial regulation in tune with time and can automatic attract more very rich clients.
