Oh....I am rather short sighted these days......I even sold my NOL marked 214 @160......need to "cover" back eventually.......heeee..... But interestingly.....the volume has never been so high and sustained in a many years......what are they up to this time ??

Quick takes - Volume sequentially up, but rates lower - by Raymond Yap CFA
(NOL SP / NEPS.SI, UNDERPERFORM - Maintained, S$1.27 - Tgt. S$1.30, ResearchWise Industrial)
NOL released their Period 3 operating numbers yesterday. Volume contracted 21.6% yoy but rose 12.8% mom, due to the extended Chinese New Year holidays the month before. The average box rate fell 19.9% yoy and was marginally lower mom, on lower core freight rates and lower bunker recovery. Asia-Europe rates had continued to correct, worsened by discounting on the transpacific even though the May contracts have not yet expired. We maintain our UNDERPERFORM call; no change to earnings and target price of S$1.30 (0.7x P/BV). We believe the worst of the container shipping crisis is likely over and there should be sequential improvements over the next six months. However, the outlook for the industry remains very challenging, and rates could weaken once again from early 2010 on the risk of a double dip in global container trade growth.
