SGX said most of the S-Chip are good and have passed the audit. I am not worry about this one, this one is just not glamourous business, selling semens and trading raw milk, (yuck) but very good profit, very low P/E, milk confidence is returning, >50% since sacre, so if you are thinking of bargain look no further. Agriculture stocks seldom fails unless badly run, so everyone will get their milk every morning much more reliable than DBS or Capitaland.

China Milk and Peoples Food are superb value before, it is even better value now, will be daft not to colelct more. These are defensive counters - food and milk die die must eat and drink, so market is ignoring them at the moment, so when they get the attention they will cheong like no tomorrow. Etika...same. apart from MY vs CN. |

just my view not asking to buy or not, must said first ,if not kena shoot again. chinamilk making money got lots of cash in bank also. but how come so sting on divident last 2yrs? and no D tis yr. need to be careful right?"S" stock leh. .PFood at least not sting on D. think better risk. vested.

– We expect the rebound to meet an initial resistance at $0.595 (1-year downtrend line and Oct '08 high), breaking which, the next key resistance is at $0.715 (minor peaks in Jul – Aug '08) Sorry missed out some bits. C&P error |

This one worth quite a lot of money, should not treat it like dodgy S-chip, milk is flowing again and this company is improving its practice. Should be worth buying at low now. Severly undervalue..TP shuoule be

yeah.. nowadays hard to find good counter with oversold status.. just load up today. Was aiming chinaAnihealth with near oversold status at 0.115 but due to no action today fly up liao. So this time see milk in this zone, just whack 1st den talk later.

This is oversold already, too cheap for justice, prepare this for a rocket ride, up when the market is down as this is an industry which is very resilient to the market swing and the milk scandal is over, should be back to normal already kids and adults drinking the milk. Hint hint.. | ||||||

Dun really understand though.. but milk processing is not one of their revenue stream rite? or this is considered "raw milk" revenue? |

That is related to manufacturing practice need to be tighten upgrade and get a spanking clean GMP/HACCP plant. This is good news...if that is true. | ||||||

Net Profit down -20%, Not really as bad as it is shown. Mostly due to fair value in convertible bond which is unrealized loss. Operating Profit is just -1% down. if you read carefully, it is mostly due to the expense and subcontracting payment. or else the operating profit will be at least up 5%. My only concern is on the detail why they halt the milk processing plant. is it going to be long term or what? there is no detail explanation on that.. For me, PE & PB still really attractive... |

Not sure why they need the convertible bond funds when thye do not use it and kept it in the balance sheet The convertible bond is in US$ and already converted to Rmb now. They may make money due to foreign exchange gain which must match the bond issue price plus the interest payable for the 3 years period. Not sure if there will be a FX gain which can cover the bond redemption total amount when it is due |

One thing i am always wondering is why they need to issue convertible bonds back in 2007 Seem like they never get to spend it, and still need to pay for the interest for the bond. Apparently the bond holders are not going to convert, as the convertion price is set to $2.00 i don't think the bank deposit interest rate is higher than the bond interest that they are going to pay. Why they do this? anyone? |
