Thats d wise idea. However, Gov only guarantee ALL Bks till end 2010, another fear factor, but then it should be minimal liao. Nonetheless, if global economy picking up prior to 2010, following d crowd to pick up some good shares, to support our market, no harm loh. Cheers.

Yah, seems like not many investor like ds burger, as compare with d other but now its still higher than 4.41, STI low of 1472.77. Nonetheless, it has DBS accompany. | ||||

Ha ha, better alert. Chinese ch 21pm news broadcast, d sweet announcer said today STI flat, "UOB, DBS n OCBC , these 3 banks performance not bad". Hope uncle n untie dun follow blindly. Cheers.

What happen to this baby......? Keep dropping so much ........any bad news (bad feeling) No idea what is gg on. Only know this is a SHIET bank among all 3 local banks in Singapore. Only know how to go down and never go up. Down a lot, up a little. In my opinion, they should just close shop and call it a day. In fact, I think all 3 local banks should merge and then be nationalised and be known as, The Singapore Bank. |

cannot compare these two la. totally different business. OCBC is low beta share whereas SGX is very high beta share. If you plot charts comparing more than 5 year of OCBC, STI and SGX, you can see the effect of SGX price.

They are using the same old standard prescription to heal a new ailment... In the previous system up till even now, the economy is 'controlled' by central banksThe econo, who 'played' the economy like a fiddle. When it gets too hot, they cool it by upping rates. When it gets depressed, the prop it up by reducing lending rates. Then people are encouraged to consume unabatedly again. The economy was thus a tame beast in their hands. But it seems this present monster does not respond to those 'tricks'... It seems to have a life of its own! ... hehehe...  |

Not known fr anywhere. All countries is now struggling very hard to rescue n improve their respective country finance issues, esp d leading US. D finance sector confident level definitely is questionable. In local, AK opine that both DBS n UOB now alrdy fall below d px registered whne STI stood low at 1472.77 last yr, except OCBC. Question may ask, why ds burger special, what good it has? Thats up to d market to gauge it n follow up any action as appropriate. UOB is going to table its last FY report card likely tomorrow, either during lunch or after 5pm. Its px up n down inconsistently for d last few days. Now, it is in green again. And would it pay 45cts div as preceeding yr? That up to how people interprete it. AK had cleared both DBS n UOB this am, though with loses, my gut feel was that to let go instead of holding them to add pressure for me. Now feel better. All the above are AK's per view only. Just for sharing, no call for anything. Cheers.

Sorry can't find any details in BT, SJ n SGX.
However, d last FY AGM was on 21 Feb 08. If u r their share holder, u should hv rcv d annual report cum date of AGM liao, by now.
U may also check d div XD n payout date on BT n Zaobao next Mon.
