this counter is highly speculated.... my personal view is.... some big boy is collecting.... the way they play in the range of 23 cents to 32 cents... they do not want to push up the price, but love to accumulating the shares at this stage.. that's how I feel it... but, semicon industry? forget it... it is a dead field. |

Hi ngchunleng, This counter is ALREADY a penny stock. I'm studying the volume chart. It seems that BBs have already made their moves in the past few weeks and volume for this counter will start to dry up again. When that happens, I expect the price to trade in a tight range - like in mid-Nov 2008 to early-Jan 2009 |

Anyone of you have any thoughts about this counter? Amid losing money trend, will this counter face liquidity issue and may need a bailout? My ultimate concern is will this counter drop till penny stock eventually? | ||||

I think you should say from 1.05 to 23cts is ouch......no matter which planet you come from. From 23cts to 11cts, is really OK !!! And it is only 11cts to zero. For every dollar have already loss 80cts, is there any other losses to up the ante ?? I think the agony is the long, fruitless, slow and painful journey down the hill. And we are not even seen the full force of the recession. Time and time again, this stock is pumped and dumped. I am not some investment guru, but averaging is no good, to sell is about total impairment. Trading play may be the only option left. BTW CIMB say OUTPERFORM, OCBC say SELL and DBS say HOLD. What a spread in opinions.....

Even in good times, Chartered performed below expectations. In times like these, I don't think we can really expect much from them. Maybe the company would be better off merged with a bigger and more profitable rival. |

He said visibility beyond the first quarter was not clear but his company had no plans currently to either shut down factories or sell facilities.
