This cannot be the end of the bear market as there are other major issues happening in the world economy. However, my sense is that sub-prime problem affecting US mortgage cannot get worst from here onwards...the most there'll be another write down or two for those involves. In my opinion, inflations which tie to commodity price have to come down and consumer's confident have to be restored before we will see a concrete recovery in the world economy, hence the end of the bears. In the meantime, its a waiting game..zzzzz! |

FRE and FAE cannot fail lah. The US government cannot afford to let them crash. If they fail, there will be a major collaspe in the US housing market. In turn, the entire US economy will be wiped out. The big question is whether the bail out signals the end of the bear market. |

Sept. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Stocks in Europe and Asia climbed and U.S. futures gained on speculation the U.S. government's takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will shore up the mortgage market and stem losses at financial firms. US future up 270 points now, ho ho, impressive man.... europe market all up more than 3%, sounds like Chiristmas is coming. |

AK stongly agreed the 2nd phase. In peace, get ready for war. I am from SAF lah. Just observe the political propaganda on 3rd Gen SAF, IKC2 & C4ISR. Latest hot stuff, JSF, Joint Strike Fighter F35, though delivery of F15SG (US going to defunc it alrdy, article said) to Spore next yr.
