Just think of buying few lot of this counter as it's really cheap (Think of its history). I trust Government link company, they are calculative, i bet it will make good profit one day (maybe through merge or sell to its rival). Sharing your comments please!!!

Many make the mistake of buying "bomb out" stocks like Chartered and Osim. Even if you catch the bottom, nothing much to rejoice.

Please have a look at Taisin. Unfortunately I have CPF on this one:(. A bad buy. Do you want to put your money on a stock like Taisin where you catch the bottom but for many months it just goes from 30c to 35c?

Even if God told me the bottom price of Chartered, I would not buy though it means I will make a profit for sure. Why? I may be wrong but I could be looking at "small money" and I don't wish to move my capital where "small money" is made.

It is not just about getting rock bottom price for stocks but whether there is potential for "bigger" climb up.

The 2Cs - Creative and Chartered are history. Another that comes to mind is Osim

I really don't know if Chartered can really rebound back to $1. But if you keep avearging down and there is no strong rebound, you are losing opportunity cost on other shares. I have mentioned before that if you sell a share at a loss and transfer that capital to another share, it is merely a transfer of capital. Unfortunately because this point is hard to accept or appreciate, most just let their losing shares slide further and further down.

I wouldn't buy Chartered even if it went to 50c

where got share split? Oni backside split if you bought that time and held on to now. Like Livermore mentioned about Creative...$64.00, yes no typo error, it was $64.00. No split hor!

It's still dark in the tunnel, can't see any light! I dun think I will buy CSM as semiconductor biz around the world seems to be sunsetting. If the industry revived one day, it's still not late to buy then. To me, CSM is a trading counter, not a counter we can keep for long term. I am wondering who was still keeping CSM when it traded S$16.00 many years back ard 2000-2001, that's real long term but with no gain and still can't see light as yet!

So Humulus, you bought at about $1.00 is still very fortunate group as compared to those $16.00 group of people...hehehe! See the brighter side of life. It's not just stock mkt gain, life is more than that!
