Note what Mr Wee of UOB had said : It is the short-term gain that caused all these CDOs & subprime problems. Too much shorting will also cause share markets to collapse. May be it helps the brokerage firms to have better business. | ||||||||

let's see if the market will turn flat...as the positive thing is Oil going down to a point of being below $140...next the negative thing is the worry on people's mind of the upcoming reporting season again... so the tug between this two ends...most likely will then end up flat... but whatever the case is, just hope that volume will start pouring in once again

they r just worried about the reporting of the earnings that is upcoming... the previous "U" turn in March were so, because although it was bad...but better than expectations...so let's see if this time there will be repeat scenario of "U" turn should there be better than expectation kind of scene again |

USDYEN plunged from 106.58 to 106.7 in the last 1 hr. Oil surged back to above $141. This led to Dow's sudden plunge for no rhyme or reason. Incidentally, Dow tested previous low near the 11150 zone. Either it creates a double bottom if it recovers back, or else, more selling to come. Quite amazing that it's the only market in the red as of now. Rest of the Asian and European markets actually green. |

Tread carefully, don't short. But don't long too heavily yet too. It's ok to miss a bit of profit potential for uptrend confirmation. I'm holding a laughably minor long position, will add if I see more strength in equities. Short-term resistance for Dow is 11400. It would be perfect if the close tonight exceeds 11382. |

is tis the start of rally [oil px down by 4.00/barrel, usd up against major currencies,dow up 100+]........if so, then 2 bad missed the boat...anyway happy 4 in global markets 2 wks ago till today.
