I thought only if you got it via placement allotment then confirm vested? Going thru ATM or Internet means PUBLIC offer -- need to go thru Ballot process right?

Hi, Looks interesting. I am in the Oil and Petro industry and have lived in China for the last 4 years. This stocks certainly looks promising, given my understanding of what is happening in China now. Just applied for 5 lots through DBS IB. But they take direct cash? If it is unsuccessful, do they return to you at end of day? |

hi edwin, u mention more ipos coming? So for tis Oct & Nov, do u know what other hot ipos will debut? Becos if got hot ipos next few weeks, I'll postpone putting part of my money in Fixed Deposit 1st since the more lots we apply, chances of getting are higher. |

Only 3228 lots for the public, estimate around 17000 people apply, may not worth it if apply 100 lots or more, will apply two lots only as apply 100 lots may also get 2 lots...more ipo coming, just try your luck will do.... |

The company designs and fabricates equipment used to enhance yield at mature, depleted oil fields. The IPO price of 60 cents is over 22x the firm's FY06 EPS of about 2.66 cents, based on a post-invitation share capital of nearly 730m shares. Even among oil and gas plays, China Oilfield is specialised. Its technology is used in the tertiary phase of oil recovery, which comes into play when the primary means (natural pressure) and secondary techniques (pumping in of pressurised gas and water to drive residual oil up to the surface) have already been spent. At this stage, 60-70% of the oil in the well remains, but is heavily mixed with water. |

This one will be potentially a dollar stock on day one.....hmm, Then fall back to penny B4 it cheongg back to more then a dollar.....hmm.  Must congrat...HL bank and those vested and oso to those lucky ppl's who apply, who got it.

Is it a stack? Definitely not! Is it a stag? I don't think so. With high oil prices and a boom oil & gas industry, it's worth holding. |

Oil equipment-maker China Oilfield Technology Services would raise $127 million in its IPO and will use the proceeds to expand output. The firm would sell 127.5 million new shares and 84.1 million vendor shares at $0.60 a share. HL Bank is the lead manager for the IPO. It is a major "one-stop" customised solutions provider of integrated tertiary oil recovery equipment and products in the Daqing oilfield region of the PRC. They are principally engaged in the research, development, manufacture and sales of customised integrated equipment and products that are used in enhancing the extraction of crude oil. Their research and production facilities are located in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province of the PRC, and have R&D facilities in Beijing as well. In Oct '04, they acquired a 348,792 m2 site for the construction of a new production complex, Dafeng Industrial Park, in the Third Zone of Hi- Tech Development Zone, Daqing City. The first phase of the Park is targeted to be completed by the end of '07. All of their products are sold directly to PRC oil extraction companies operating in the Daqing oilfield, which is one of the first and largest oilfields to adopt tertiary oil recovery technology in the PRC. With a strong emphasis on R&D and product quality, and backed by 40 full-time R&D personnel, the Group has developed various patented oil extraction equipment and technology over the years. Application will close on 15 Oct, noon and the shares will commence trading on 17 Oct. |
