..., Nomura said it saw a subdued outlook for Singapore in 2013 as the country's ongoing economic restructuring is expected to drag on corporate earnings.

.... with the greatest earnings risks coming from banks, developers and casino gaming sectors, Nomura said.

The brokerage was bullish on conglomerates such as Keppel Corp Ltd, Sembcorp Industries Ltd and Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd, for their ability to generate steady earnings growth that can support dividends.

But Nomura was bearish on casino operator Genting Singapore Plc given Singapore's strict regulation over the industry. Developers are also expected to underperform as fundamentals deteriorate, with rising vacancies and large oncoming supply of homes. 26Nov12

EU Stumbles on Greek Debt Reduction After Clash With IMF
(bloomberg)

European finance ministers failed to agree on a debt-reduction package for Greece after battling with the International Monetary Fund over how to nurse the recession- wracked country back to fiscal health

With creditors led by Germany refusing to put up fresh money or offer debt relief, the finance chiefs were unable to scrounge together enough funds from other sources to help alleviate Greece’s debt burden, set to hit 190 percent of gross domestic product in 2014.

Singapore on Friday cut its growth forecast for this year again after the economy shrank more sharply than expected in the third quarter as exports were hit by a slump in global demand.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry said it now expects growth of 1.5 percent in 2012, the bottom end of the 1.5-2.5 projected earlier this year, which was itself a revision from 1.0-3.0 percent initially tipped.

Would STI go down ... 2700~2800..? i think is not a buy now

Is a good day that everyone buy the ECB's OMT purchase bonds news, all markets gain about 1~2%.

How about the forecast that eurozone economy will shrink by 0.4% (previous call in June is -0.1%) news? Muted today.. Next week sell on it?

yipyip      ( Date: 07-Sep-2012 01:58) Posted:

STI go up or down?

The announcement came as the ECB slashed its forecast for growth in the eurozone for both this year and next, it said, as the debt crisis increasingly takes it toll on the 17-nation bloc.....

The ECB said its staff expects the economy to

--> shrink by 0.4 percent in 2012

--> and then grow by 0.5 percent in 2013, a reduction from its previous call in June of minus 0.1 percent for this year and plus 1.0 percent next year.
