I think this one may go below 0.50.

Let monitor first. The placement shares dilute its share value.

Should be soon. Any longer, not much news to push any more.

And this up should be strong one. Let continue with the monitoring.

As for the STI, it did manage to briefly cross 2,700 when it peaked at 2,707 in intraday trading on Thursday, an occurrence which would no doubt give confidence to momentum traders and chart watchers alike. Among these would be local broker CIMB, which on Thursday went a bit against the grain when it urged investors to stay long and adopt a contrarian position vis-a-vis conventional wisdom that September is traditionally a bad month for stocks. By CIMB's reckoning, the present run will probably end when the STI nears 3,350, which is about 2x price/book value.

Gov will tax them Gambling organization higher compare to other business.

Thus the $100, i thk will be given to Genting SP. Not gov. Bc Genting already paying the heavy tax.

Sporeguy      ( Date: 12-Sep-2009 17:33) Posted:

If the $100 goes into govt pocket, no way the casino would give free hotel room like in GB (using points).

That $100 case, maybe they will thk of a way to re-solve in future.

Maybe in terms of free one day hotel stay.

That $100, i thk should not be a problem.

As for IR related to Genting is different. People view Genting highly in future term. Chinese & Ah moh like gambling.

No doubts u will see lots of people flooding in. So that will mean more money flowing to them as profit....hahaha.

As there is a chinese term: Shi Du Jiu Shu (in english: 10 people go in gamble, 9 will loss)

Cheers.

Should phrase it in this way instead:

Currently, the STI is testing the 2660 level as resistance. Should the STI has push beyond 2660, the next target would be 2700 and possibly 2744.

the ratio BUY:SELL at 08 cents, emm didn't check. But it seems buying strength is there. My TP for this babe is minimum $0.10.

Now still quite cheap. Let continue monitor.

Genting Singapore plc rated buy

AmResearch in a Sept 10 research report says: "Genting Singapore plc (GenS) yesterday proposed a 1-for-5 rights issue at 80 cents per share. This is at a 33% discount to GenS’s closing price of $1.19 per share. Total proceeds from the rights issue would amount to $1.63 billion.

"Interest income from the rights issue of an estimated $41 million could turn GenS into a profitable position in FY2010F based on our estimated net loss of $10 million for the group. Our DCF valuation for GenS has been raised to account for higher revenue coming from an increase in visitor arrivals at Resorts World at Sentosa (RWS). Maintain buy with higher DCF-based fair value of $1.28 per share versus 90 cents per share previously. We have also revised GenS’s FY2011F earnings projection upwards by 33% for this reason. Our FY2009F-FY2010F earning forecast for GenS remains unchanged. MAINTAIN BUY."
