Connect Holdings Limited (Connect) today announced that it has commenced its voluntary conditional cash general offer (the Offer) to acquire all the issued shares of Nasdaq-listed Pacific Internet Limited (Nasdaq: PCNTF; PacNet).

The Offer is open for tender until 12:00 midnight, New York City time, on 7 June 2007, 12:00 noon, Singapore time, on 7 June 2007 or such later date(s) as may be announced from time to time by or on behalf of Connect.

According to the terms of the Offer, Connect will pay US$10.00 net in cash per share, without interest, for all issued ordinary shares of PacNet, other than those shares already owned by Connect.

PacNet shares closed at US$9.83 on 27 April 2007.

Connect currently owns 4,121,287 shares, or approximately 29.78%, of the issued shares of PacNet.

BT did a report on Swissco ..commenting on the stakes that they have in Swiber. Swissco is in a win win situation where they can either stand to gain $100 mil if they sell of their entire stake in Swiber or continue to ride on the success of Swiber...

This share will continue to ride and many shareholders are hanging on to their share awaiting the outcome of May 8th!...

Congrats to all those who had faith in this share and for those wanting.. it's still not too late...

gonna accumulate more when the price dips..now too much spotlight..

Here's the GS report on GIL - SHORT SHORT SHORT..........

GIL, gs put new rating NEUTRAL with target price $0.94
- We initiate coverage on Genting International Limited (GIL) with a Neutral rating and SOTP-based 12-month price target of S$0.94.

- While we believe Genting International's Sentosa casino offers the most exciting, compelling earnings growth ideas within the Genting group, we believe there is little upside left following its 150% share price increase since the Sentosa casino win announcement on December 8, 2006. With the casino likely to open only towards end-2009, we believe it is too early to start discounting the long-term potential from the Sentosa casino.

- It is all about Sentosa. With most of its value in Sentosa, execution will be key for GIL as GIL looks to monetize its Sentosa Integrated Resorts. To be completed by end-2009, GIL believes it will develop the project on target, and on budget, and has kick-started the massive construction project earlier this week with ground-breaking.

- Massive funding requirement ? expect cash calls. GIL's financial position is stretched with net gearing of 0.7X as at end-2006. With its new Sentosa Integrated Resort win, we estimate GIL would need to raise a massive S$5.2bn in capital over the next three years to develop the project. It plans to finance 2/3rds of the Sentosa casino with debt, and 1/3 from equity. It has already started the process with a S$425mn convertible bond issue last December and earlier this week, GIL went to the capital market for another S$450mn convertible bond. Even assuming all these convertible bond notes are converted to equity, GIL would need to raise about S$900mn cash equity, and this could be higher, should GIL need funds for new UK casinos.
