What expert has said...

The current recession will last at least three years and possibly longer absent a revival in credit markets, according to investors who specialize in distressed debt and bankruptcy.

"This is going to be a three- to four-year disaster," said Michael Psaros, managing partner at KPS Capital Partners, at a restructuring conference in New York.

The United States is going through a "Great Recession," "We are going to invest an awful lot of money this year," Psaros said on Thursday. "There is an inexhaustible supply of bad management out there."

From today onwards I change my investment strategy........ I start investing and not trading. ( Since, no longer substantial volatility and lesser and lesser traded volume, also market price seems under consolidating phase ).

Try queue and sell short a few million shares at half cent.  If company closed you make all the profit, or you may get it for one quarter cent.!! Got one quarter cent or not? Hahahaha.  Joking only, don't follow ah..

keepnosecrets      ( Date: 02-Feb-2009 10:22) Posted:

Market intelligence on this counter seems pretty good, but how come nobody seems interested.  Recently even the CEO bought a reasonably big lot at average of $0.0089 married.  This is more that the $0.0050 official asking price.

I wish to buy and keep because of potential price increase, but a little wary since nobody (or if any only a few people) are buying, and if they do only very few lots are bought. Kindly give your opinion should go in or not, as this seems to me a potential capital multiplier if it eventually moves.

UBS recruit 200 to prevent client poaching in today BT..  ( Good sign are appearing)

Sign of recovery are showing. Although the Company are still reporting of job cut and loss for Dec31 quarter.. I believe recovery are showing sign. Early stages for some form of stablising..

Too bad, finally, I changed my mind and cut huge loss at Sgd. 0.035 >XXXX  lots and 0.03 XXXX lots too from my cost price of about average Sgd. 0.11 hopefully I had my right move. and 'll change counter to KXD most probably.

Hulumas      ( Date: 11-Jun-2008 09:14) Posted:

I call it "PE peak fall" I suppose, though I have huge paper loss in this counter. I 'll money cost averaging if the price will reach Sgd. 0.045.

Based on FY(31/3/08), NTA = 14.93 US cents which are equivalent to 20.23 S'pore cents (US$1=S$1.355). EPS = 1.79 US cents, or 2.43 S'pore cents. Contel share closed today (10/6/08) at 8.5 cents. At this price, PE is only 3.5. What's wrong with this counter?
