Different stocks have their different holding time horizon for ripe time  riding of  their individual stock  total net profit.I have all my stocks holding horizon varying from as short as 3 months up to several decades even as long as whole life holding. Due to the fact that market is dynamic, so the holding time horizon might change accordingly as well.

Perhaps, you have made two mistakes from investing S-chips:

1. Appropriate entering time and prices.

2. Lack of S-chip diversification. 

While you have done something right on time:

Hulumas, think of this stragety:-

Sometimes it's good to cut loss becos

when the stock goes lower, then you

can buy again. Many ppl think that paper

loss is ok as long as I don't sell. A loss is

a loss. Imagine holding all the paper loss

stock in your portfolio.  Isn't it very heavy.

Never cut loss is my buying strategy. Cut loss orientated is dominant in SGX market here. Because all the retail market players here are popular with " KIASU" behaviours. That is why once I buy, I keep buying!

You will also  notice that many stocks will be pushed

up before closing in a bull mkt.
